Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesIt's really a 2 or maybe a 3-star stay. Having to unlock and relock the entry gates for each exit and departure was a pain. It's situated on a main road just outside of Mambo Beach, so it is very noisy from 6am until 2am.
Wow. The location and amenities are amazing. This is the most amazing place for those on a budget wanting a 4 star place

Hungaryit is far better positioned on the website as it really is. my view from the room is very far from ocean view (the one I was charged for) or the person responsible for the booking promotional text should decide if you call the outside area a patio or a balcony, but I didn't have the latter (which is OK, unless otherwise advertised). I appreciate the ambitious entrepreneurial spirit of the owner, but pricewise we should be more realistic, and definitely more in line with what the property has to offer. I would rather call my room a relatively spacious studio with little natural light, and access to a patio and an outdoor kitchen. Soundproof is again a serious overstatement, you are literally at the roadside (the window here indeed opens to the beach, which should be the "ocean view" then. I asked for a different room for the noise.
it is very well located, safe, close to the beach and relatively good equipped. Michelle was super welcoming and nice throughout the process, and very kind and flexible also at check out.

CanadaThe ad said breakfast is included. It was not. This may apply only to me but I’m a very light sleeper and go to bed early (diving early in the am). As my room was a bit closer to the road than some of the others, the noise level was sometimes bothersome. I bought earplugs.
The room was clean and comfortable. The patio space allowed me to hang my dive gear up to dry without being in anyones way. The shared kitchen facilities had many appliances available. The location was very handy and parking was free. The communal patio area made for a great space to meet the other guests.

NetherlandsThe property is a small comfortable block of suites that are next to a highway ( can be a bit noisy but nothing you can’t sleep through). With its own parking lot for guests. The suites includes the luxuries you need to either relax or rest( Microwave, Fridge, Airco, Bathroom, HDTV, safe). Housekeeping will clean and swap out the towels ever 3 days. Some suites are also able to use the small courtyard and it’s outdoor kitchen to prepare food. The staff are on the property to welcome new guests and are reachable and responsive when needed. And are very kind when you get to know them.
The location is perfect and close to the most popular beaches (Mambo, Madero, Lions Dive). And in the near future in front of new beaches that are being set-up at the moment.

ArgentinaThe only problem is the neighbor's rooster that starts screaming every day at 6am. And it is something that they have not been able to solve so far, although they have tried several times.
The attention of the staff is very good. The place is always clean. The semi covered space is very useful.

FranceI thought the room would have a full kitchenette with it's own sink, etc. But there is a full kitchen in the courtyard, so this was not a problem.
Staff were very accommodating and nice. The hotel is 50 m from the dive shop! Close to Mambo beach.

United StatesThe room was a little sparse, there were a few times when I wanted something (extra blanket, scissors) and it wasn't there. It was never anything I desperately needed, but it was a little inconvenient.
The staff were very flexible and accommodating, I was able to check in right after I arrived and check out right before I had to leave for the airport, which was very helpful.

United KingdomMost things to be honest. It was rather shabby and rundown, dirty unkempt courtyard area with communal kitchen with limited facilities / no soap in dispenser at sink, tea-towel wasn't changed once during our 6 day stay (nor were there spares available). Check-in had to be pre-arranged as there is no on-site reception and no doorbell outside to get access to the the property which sits behind locked gates. It sits on a main road which is busy with traffic from about 6am. There's noisy dogs in nearby houses which bark / howl constantly. The rooms we were allocated (1 + 5) were NOT Deluxe as described on the Booking.com website - nor on the Invoice which stated they were Standard or Junior Standard - but Room 1 did have the described "Oceanview" (of sorts). Free Toiletries - consisted of 2 tiny tubes of shampoo and 2 small bars of soap that were not replenished. Neither rooms had shower gel in the dispenser within the shower cubicle. Hairdryers had to be requested. TVs / Streaming services in both rooms were not working until Day 4 of our stay. Mosquito nets in both rooms would not close across main door. A "light clean" was supposedly done on Day 3 but this literally was a change of towels and emptying of rubbish bins. No clean bed linen. "Wardrobe or Closet" was actually a wall-mounted, open hanging contraption with 4 hangers. Room 5 - the room was very small and dark. The safety deposit box didn't work. The hot water from the shower was very intermittent. No bedside lamp / light - we borrowed one from Room 1.
Decent quality towels and toilet paper. Free WiFi 15 minute walk to Mambo Beach Boulevard - reasonable choice of (non-local) restaurants, bars, (touristy) shops. Turn left out of Pier. "Seaside Terrace" - local fish restaurant opposite. Closed on a Monday (do not go to Surf and Turf next door - awful !!) Buses into Willemstad (3-4km away) ran frequently from just outside. Turn right out of Pier. $2 per person.
