Nothing - amazing accommodation. Nothing we did not like.

WE LOVED THIS ACCOMMODATION! The location was amazing, surrounded by nice restaurants and bars. Perfect for exploring the city and the neighborhood. Also at a short driving distance to nice beaches and the south of the island (beach clubs and equipped beaches). The facilities are great, well-kept: we liked the infinity pool to chill and our room was really nice and clean. The staff has been really friendly and helpful. The restaurant is also amazing, both in terms of location (you can have dinner and aperitivo on the beach) and of quality.

For the price that was charged I expected way more. For instance they don't have any parking on site. Very often the closest parking I could find was a long walk away and this was very frustrating. The room we stayed in was shown as ocean view but it was kind of a side view. Again, this would have been fine for much lower cost but at about USD 350 a night I expected at least parking at the facility (even if it meant paying some more). Also charging for Coffee pods was silly, keep in mind I was paying USD 1350 for the stay and they wanted to add 5 more bucks for the coffee pods!

Room was clean and at least one staff at the front desk was very helpful. Being next to the water was good.

Value, its not worth the money, smell from garbage containers located in front of entrance, no hot water in our room , difficult to find a parking spot in the evening, good that we only stayed there for 2 days

Location , its located near the center of the city with restaurants all around, the pool even though its smaller than what it looks on the pictures its still amazing the view it’s spectacular;)

This was the second time we stayed at Scuba Lodge. Last time it was a perfect stay in every way. This time, even though the Apartment was really nice, the staff did let down. Whatever we asked reception, we had to ask several times as they ignored us. For example; when we checked out, we asked for help for our luggage, we had 10 suitcases and there are no lifts. They promised to help us and we set a time for luggage collection at the second floor. However no one showed up. There were several renovations at the premises, which were not acceptable. Closing down the mainpool during high season for almost 3 days. Renovations next door ( same owner ) till late in the night for many nights. Construction starting at 7 am. More guests went complaining and there were even guests who left earlier. The location is perfect, the apartments are also lovely especially the seaview ones, however stay focussed with your staff. Pay more attention to your guests and their needs. Previous stay, the staff was perfect, now not anymore.

My main issue with Scuba Lodge is that there is no beach. On booking.com, it’s listed in the “private beach” category and its description still says it has “a private strip of artificial beach.” Instead, where the beach used to be is a rocky jetty that forms an unfinished cove. One employee called it a “work in progress.” We were very disappointed. The entire reason we had booked this property was for the beach. Also, one of the hotel’s buildings is under construction, so if you’re outside during the day, there’s a lot of noise. After our first night, we explained this to front desk. We wanted to check out (after the 1st night of 5) and get refunded the nights were weren’t going to use. I realize that’s not ideal, but given the lack of a major amenity like a beach, I didn’t expect too much pushback. Instead, we ended up going back and forth with the management and booking.com for 4 hours. The Scuba Lodge’s response was first to deny that the hotel’s description on booking.com said this, until I showed screenshots. Then the response was that all the other websites didn’t mention a beach, which I sympathize with, but unfortunately booking.com still does. They tried to deny any refund. Thankfully, booking.com came through for us, and we were refunded for the nights we didn’t use. We stayed at the Lionsdive and loved it. I had expected the description on booking.com to be changed quickly to remove any mention of a beach, but over a week later, I see it hasn’t. I don’t want others to have the same problem. Also, we booked the “Superior Deluxe Room with Ocean View.” The listing on booking.com has photos from 2 different rooms. One has the covered porch with an unobstructed ocean view. The other, where we stayed is the Bona Vista Suite, which has a partial ocean view with an unshaded porch. It’s a 3rd floor with slanted ceilings that make it feel much smaller than it is. One seems much nicer than the other.

The Scuba Lodge and Suites is in a set of historic beautiful buildings on the oceanfront. The architecture is truly stunning. I absolutely love the colors of the buildings. The infinity pool is lovely. The beds are comfortable. We didn’t actually eat at the bar/restaurant, but it was certainly hopping! The bar is gorgeous. The staff working the desk and was very nice and helpful. In particular, Dalies was a delight and responded to us after hours when we had a last minute housekeeping issue. She is a rockstar.

They had construction going on all day, late into the evening way beyond normal working hours, on some nights up to 9pm. They were banging, grinding, cutting tile... They should have cut that work out at 7 pm the latest.

The location was amazing, the pool, grounds and staff were great.

We checked in on new years eve on 31 december 2022 to celebrate the new year at Scuba Lodge. The room was ok but the furniture was old when we noticed that the bathroom was full of mold from wall to wall we went to informed this at the front desk and I even showed them fotos and a video of the molded bathroom. The lady at the front desk called her supervisor on the phone and tell her that the situation of our bathroom seems bad and thereafter she informed us that they don't have anyone on duty on New years eve to clean our bathroom but that she will send me message of what will happen. When I asked her for another room she told me that there was no other room for me and that we could go have our reserved dinner and she will send me a message. During dinner we were unpleasantly surprised to received a message form the frontdesk lady informing us that they don't have any solution and therefore I could checkout of the room at 8:00 pm and leave Scuba Lodge. I sent them a neat message informing that now way we could leave now at night and stay on the streat because we won't get any other accomodation to check in on this date and on this time. After a back and forth of messages the frontdesk lady told me that she will go and clean our bathroom herself which she did slightly well. But I couldnot use the bathroom still. In the early morning I went to shower at a friends house instead! I really don't appreciate how Scuba Logde handled this issue.

The place is superbly located, but a little but noisy; the restaurant entrance is located right outside your door, the room being on the ground-floor. Being a popular restaurant, for an early rest, the doors are a bit flimsy and not soundproof. Nice staff!

Sometimes it took really long to order and to get the food. 40mins for an Omelette when there are only four other guests is a lot. Staff in restaurant was not that efficient/well organised and friendly (they just take orders and bring food). Not many vegetarian options. Mattress is on the soft side and it can be quite noisy in the room (you hear every word when someone is taking outside or walking by).

if you stay in a regular room, forget about this place - it’s a hostel, not 4 stars hotel. because - there are no proper windows and all the noise from outside is in your room (not possible to sleep before 3 am) - No hot water available (my girlfriend got sick immediately) - No internet working in the room - No blankets - dirty - reception does not work after late hours (if something happens nobody is here to help) - there are two restaurants and they are fully booked for the hotel clients, nobody cares if you are hotel clients, finally if you make a sit after 21:30 pm food is average finally we had several reservations in the hotel and reception proposed us a room to stay the whole stay - it was the worst room ever, on the way to a restaurant, very noisy. if you have no budget to stay in a suite or apartment in this hotel, suggestion not to consider the place at all, because all double room are very noisy, windows are broken or do not have full glass coverage that makes a room full of noise, no hot water either that makes the whole stay very horrible we both got sick after our stay, it is not vacation - it a great way to destroy your happiness and well being

Nothing to hang up wet clothes or towels on. Not enough space for your clothes, needed to leav them in your suitcase. And the noise from the hotel beside that had party every night whit the bas so loud that our bed vibrating.

The front desk staff was rude and unhelpful. They made billing mistakes and then blamed them on the guests and were unprofessional in correcting their own mistakes. (However, the dive shop staff was very friendly and helpful.) The room and common areas were not kept clean. Waiting times were excessively long at the restaurant.
