Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelThe location (seedy area about a kilometre or two from the old city of Larnaca), , the communication with the staff. Being expected to leave my room key at the front desk every time I left. The owner of the hotel was always in the lobby.

SerbiaHost (old lady ready for the retirement) was unprofessional and rude. Booked sea view, didn't get one, but the view on the very noisy street and Radisson Blu Hotel. WiFi useless, Radisson Blu Hotel WiFi was used. Every day needed to go downstairs to ask for the hot water to be turned on, or it is going to stay cold. Air-conditioning (old and noisy), also needed to be asked to turn it on.
Nothing really

United KingdomThe room door seemed like it didn’t lock however if you tried to get in from outside the room the door would not open.
Very friendly staff who were there to help at all times. Checked in at 4am and it wasn’t a problem and they organised a taxi for me for a 5am departure.

CanadaLack of cleanliness, dirty linens. I had to pay an extra fee (ten euro a day) to use the AC and I was told to close it before going outside, wich meant that it was very humid when I came back. I also had to pay twelve euro for laundry cleaning and the clothes came back dirty. The hotel hosted almost exclusively african and middle eastearn refugee immigrants, wich made me feel almost as if I was living in a refugee camp.
There was none.

Jordan1- I wasn't expected to come 2- the accessibility to the hotel is very poor, the main door of the hotel is locked 3- I wasn't given the room paid for, i paid for balcony room i was given a room with no balcony and a horrible window view 4- no hot water is allowed, she doesn't turn it on unless for 1 hr at 8 pm a day 5- mistreats her workers 6- RACIST. I had a black friend who owns a car came to pick up my luggage at the check out time, she was offended when she first saw him, she followed us to the room to check what are we doing and asked us to leave quickly even though we had 10 minutes until check out and we were clearly dealing with the luggage.

GreeceReception manager was rude - and scary. It felt like she would put a curse on us. The energy of the place was awful, felt like a brothel. The room was not clean, it was super dirty with dust and mold all around. Although it was cold at night- and the AC is not included in the price, be aware- we never used the blankets because they were not washed properly. There was NEVER hot water - we always had to shower with cold water. You could see at the reception area the migrant worker who took care her baby all day in the public area. Across one side of the hotel you can see the fancy Radisson Blu, but from the other side you find an infamous road with cabarets and brothels. Not a place I would recommend to anyone. Please pay some extra euros to sleep and live decently!!!!
Nothing but things could always be worse I guess.

United KingdomThis hotel was a brothel, the owner an old lady had zero interest in me and my wife because we didnt want to hire any prostitutes. Air con not working and no communication from staff. Locals who i met asked why am i staying at this brothel ! I will ask booking.com to remove this place from their listing . Water not working then charged me extra for using a fan because of the air con situation. Place ruined my holiday so i left early . Stay far far away !!! P.s every time you call for help or service do not bother because they get very angry .
