Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungaryThe air changing system was noisy and the bathroom was also old ("retro").
It is near to the city center. Flexible check in and check out time. Nice breakfast.

SlovakiaThe first night in the room it was a little bit cold despite the weather being warm. The water in the shower was also colder.
Breakfast was nice: some bread, different spreads, instant coffee, and juices. The facilities were clean. Staying over in a bunker is a great experience. The stay included a tour of the bunker, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Czech RepublicThe breakfast was included (and it was nice) but there is no kitchenette or a kettle for the guests to use throughout the day (or maybe i just didn't find it).
The stay here was quite unique, the staff were very nice and I really enjoyed the museum and guided tour around the bunker. The facilities are sipmple but that's part of the experience. The location is also great and I didn't even miss the windows (although the ventilation system can be a bit noisy, so I recommend bringing earplugs ;).

EcuadorBreakfast was included, but it was very basic. Also there seemed to be a lot of work going on while I was there, as the bathrooms were being fixed and that. The walls were quite thin, so I could hear babies crying a lot.
Great hosts! The people were all so friendly, which was a refreshing touch. The space was a bit creepy, as it is expected from a bunker, but in a cute way. I only stayed for one night, but would have enjoyed to see the museum.

SlovakiaAuthentic feeling was a little bit too much about bed comfort and showers but i might be too spoiled already heh.
I loved staff attitude and tour to show us rooms, however it was a little bit maze. It was like to stay in atomic bunker so memories will stay with us for a long time.

PolandWhen booking this place you should bear in mind it's a military structure and as such doesn't offer much comfort. Beds are very hard, you sleep in a military sleeping bag. It's cold, showers are shared and can run out of hot water. However, it all makes an interesting experience. I've enjoyed my stay but wouldn't recommend it if comfort is what you're after
Definitely an interesting and unique experience. It's a true, proper, authentic bunker. It's not a hotel pretending to be a bunker, but a real bunker and hence the conditions are like in a bunker. Book this place if you're looking for an unique, authentic experience. Don't book it if you're looking for a comfortable hotel pretending to be spartan.

RomaniaThe comfort conditions are not what you might be expected to, but that is part of the experience and the price paid. Obviously, no phone signal inside, if that matters, but good Wifi.
Interesting experience to sleep into a bunker. The (more or less) original furniture was kept, so it gives you a feeling of authenticity.

HungaryIt was fairly cold, make sure to bring pyjamas. The breakfast lacks variety and there is little space available to sit and eat. Of course, there isn't much space in a bunker, obviously.
The atmosphere was just as expected, as were the facilities and the accomodation. Staff was very nice and helpful, available at all times. Bathrooms clean and comfy.

Hong KongWiFi can be weak inside a room. No central heating in the room; but you could always ask for an extra blanket from the front desk.
An alternative experience of staying in real bunker revitalises as a hostel. Staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating to my requests and enquiries. On the day of checkout I needed to keep my luggage till 1:30 am the next day. Not only did they allow so, but they also allowed me specially to take a shower (with my own towel) and stayed in their breakfast room until that time. The breakfast is basic, but the most essentials were provided. Highly recommend to stay at least a night in this special hostel. But don't expect this hostel would offer the same level of comfort as other conventional hostels.
