How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The remote control for the TV didn't work in my room. The breakfast food selection was only average. The soundproofing of the windows is rather weak.
Parking lot right in front of the hotel with sufficient capacity, friendly reception staff who will provide you with all the necessary information immediately, self-checking is possible in case of late arrival thanks to the access system. The rooms are spacious and very well cleaned. Wifi works to satisfaction. The dinner was also quite good, the service was very nice. The price/quality ratio of services is excellent 😉

Parking lot not so obvious to find.
Good location for transit guests just near the main motorway from eastern Czech border to Brno. Good breakfast which is included.

Breakfast is very lacking. One of the two beds had a very soft mattress. Check in took a lot of time.

Breakfast was great however..the staff that morning was a little to wrapped up in checking ID's from the guests.
Great location and nice (small) room for one night. Check-in staff was very friendly.

Stayed for a sleep over on a business trip. Comfortable room, good breakfast. Enjoyable stay. The reception staff was super friendly. The breakfast waitress felt a bit “tired” when we asked for a coffee from the bar machine instead of the breakfast automat. But finally agreed, sorted out and paid for successfully - full satisfaction.

Like most hotels in the world, the mattresses were just barely OK and probably need a shorter replacement cycle.
Arkada provided a great breakfast, the restaurant was open Friday and Saturday (although closed Thurs. nite when we arrived). Most desk staff and the Restaurant manager spoke some, or quite a bit of, English (useful since Czech language skills are difficult to acquire).

we got a room with small windows to some device that was humming. It was not possible to ventilate the room. There was a big lack of fresh air. and the beds are hard

Location of the hotel's car parking should be Arkada's destination in all navigation systems; as of now the navigation is misleading incomers.
Very good and full of choices breakfast. Friendly staff... their english could be better though.

We realized that we didn't book an air conditioned room and it was quite hot that day so we requested if we could change the booking after checking in but we were told it wasn't possible although there were rooms available. It would be nice if they could help us with it but never mind. We survived.
Excellent location and enough parking spaces. The breakfast was also quite good and sufficient.

Although hotel was clean and so was our room, I found somebody’s shirt in the closet.
Good, clean hotel with tasty breakfast. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms. Very good location. Good beer in the restaurant. Free parking.

A very good place to sleep over during your trip to/from the Balkans, nice staff, good breakfast. We were there around 1 AM and we got a slightly better room than reserved which was the best we cool get:)
