Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LithuaniaWiFi is not very stable, for one person everything is okay, but it's not suitable for two persons to have video calls at the same time.
Very good hotel, everything is new, receptionist very friendly. We were allowed to check in before 12am, which was super good. Location perfect, there are free parking spots around the hotel, might be a little hard to find spot at later hours of the day.

Czech RepublicThe hotel doesn’t met the requirements of a 4 ⭐️ level category (in compliance with HotelStars Union criteria). Despite a 4 star price range, there weren’t any leisure facilities in the hotel. At least small sauna would be nice. I do not mind the rest to much (there was no armchair/couch, cosmetic products, bath robe or slippers in the room and a minibar was empty; there wasn’t a hotel bar at all), but this was a big issue for us, alongside the fact there was no luggage storage room and luggage carrying service at all. The worst thing about that was the fact that we got plenty of luggage. And to be honest - it was quite obvious we had overestimated our “baggage carrying capabilities” - the receptionist or the manager who was around could offer some transport to the train station. the hotel was nearly unreachable by foot, as there was no pedestrian nearby (one one with stairs). However, despite all above issues, there was an ugly “surprise” awaiting for us upon the checkout. 👀🚫We were changed 1 000 CZK (around 40 EURO) for “stinking curtains”. My boyfriend did smoke like 5 cigarettes during the 2 days, yes - but he was smoking on the balcony, never inside🚫 Of course, sometimes the smoke finds its way into the room because of the draught, that’s true. ❗️But - having extremely sensitive nose - I am 💯percent sure that the room was free of any smell, including any smoke on the curtains❗️I hate the smell of smoking so I would never leave the room without giving it a perfect airing (including some extra perfume spreading around). ❌Of course, the issue is 👉when you are on the balcony, smoking, and the cleaning lady opens an entry door - it was windy and some strong draught occurred and bring some smoke with it - and she smelled it👈. But 👉she was not INSIDE THE ROOM during our stay even once👈 (there was no need to do a room cleaning)!
✅Of course, there were some good points there. Definitely breakfast (maybe there could be some low carb food as well). The older receptionist was very professional and helpful. The hotel furnishings and whole building was really nice, modern and new and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was large (but without bathtub 🛀🏼. There was a middle sized TV (without Netflix ☹️). The wifi was ok.

GermanyLovely bathroom, view (+ private large terrace), excellent proximity to the city center (3min walk), pleasant breakfast).
The room was a bit cold, and we were not able to set the temperature. The seating area in the apartment was not very comfortable (chairs were a bit hard and not very inviting).

Czech RepublicI didn't expect something like this to bother me, but water temperature was slightly below what I prefer for my showers. Not enough to be cold & uncomfortable, but also not fully enjoyable&relaxing. Ach jo :) Also, coffee could be better (but that's true for 90% of hotels) Oh yes, bread toaster had some personal issues that day, for sure :) It was driving bread in circles without toasting, and that made people very confused XD In general, most of my "didn't like" are very small things that just stood out because the rest of the hotel was so good :)
The hotel has a nice location: near the city center, but a bit hidden in a nice picturesque corner of some park. It took us around 15 mins to get there from the train station, but it can be quicker as we chose a slightly longer route near the river. The room was nice, in a laconic / modern style that was different from most of the other offers available at the time (that's why we chose it), with big shower room and balcony. Also, with tea-coffee in the room (so nice! i love a warm cup of tea before going to sleep :)) Breakfast was pretty good, with warm eggs and sausages, sweets were freshly baked.

SwitzerlandThere is nothing here that could even remotely be considered hospitality, where someone tries to make your stay pleasant. It's just a matter of paying and leaving. Overall, Avenue Pallova 28 does not meet the standard of four stars, or even three. It feels more like a budget apartment with the bare minimum, packed and priced unreasonably high. The cleanliness of the apartments leaves much to be desired, just adding another layer of disappointment to the experience. It's a place that might suffice for a night or two if other options are unavailable, but it certainly won't be the main attraction of a visit to this small Czech city.
"Hotel" Avenue Pallova 28 - these are ordinary ground-floor apartments spread across three adjacent blocks that feel more like a common housing estate than a boutique lodging experience. Positioned directly opposite a football stadium and within a reasonable walking distance from the old town, the location is about the only thing that meets expectations. The apartments are on a busy street, which might be a deal-breaker for those seeking peace and quiet. Upon entry, the overall feel and management of the place are starkly unimpressive. The reception and the interiors scream budget-conscious choices, which are more alarming than welcoming. The décor and facilities seem to have been put together with minimal investment, which makes you question the value of the €230 spent, parking included. Service levels at Avenue Pallova 28 are as inconsistent as its pricing. While one front desk attendant might charm you with helpful guidance, navigating through the complex parking arrangements and multiple buildings, his replacement, woman, might leave you longing for the earlier courtesy with her less-than-pleasant demeanor.

CanadaThe wifi in the room was intermittent - constantly dropped and unreliable. The beds were very hard so very uncomfortable and the second day there was a sewer gas smell from the drain in the bathroom. Breakfast was ok.
The location was great as it was very central and close to the old town, plus it bordered a park. Parking was secure and a good price.
