Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicI didn't need any help but there was nobody in the building, so in case of any issue I wouldn't know who to contact
The place was clean, well organised and closed to the city center

My 3rd time here in my 4 visits to the lovely town of Kolin. About 10 minutes walk from the station. The one member of staff I have had contact with is very nice. And she cooks a good breakfast.

Czech RepublicWe had a number with the windows to railway and trains quite heard. But not at night. Nothing disturbs the sleep

IsraelThis was my first time staying in a pension, so take every con I write with a pinch of salt. Cons: - First and foremost - there is NO private parking that belongs to the pension. Its just a narrow street with bumpy road, where you have places to park your car on sidewalk or a small patch of earth few meters from the hotel, farther into the street. So if all those places are taken by other cars - you have no place for parking. - There was not a single power socket near the bed, from neither side of it (or I'm just blind and didn't find it). The only power socket was situated in a very uncomfortable place, so everything you need to charge should be placed near it on the floor. - Not comfortable pillows. - Bed in our room was not suitable for two ppl to sleep close to each other - there was always "a trench" forming in the middle, because two mattresses were sliding to the sides of the bed (all this might be my mistake by choosing this room, but still) - Partially broken shower holder and problem with flush tank button in the toilet (room #1, staff, please, look into it). - I don't know if its common for small pensions, but there is no one in the facilities from 11:30 to like 5 or 6 PM. I suppose its common, but was a surprise for me (not sure its even a con :D)
Pros: - Very nice, responsive and pleasant staff. - Delicious breakfasts with nice menu to choose from. - Delicious coffee ^_^ - Quite place. - Near the center of the city, 10 min walk from park and old gothic church. - Good plastic windows, that can be shut tight and block most of the possible noise coming from the outside.

Czech RepublicIf I absolutely had to find something.. the bathroom could be more comfortable / modern like the rest of the building. Perhaps no cobwebs and under the bed upstairs, it should be cleaned. No major issue at all.
Post Covi-19 madness, this was one of my first small stays. Getting away for a weekend or overnight stay. This was excellent - despite a massive storm which made sleeping difficult but not the fault of the hotel. It is generally quiet. What made the stay so good was the fact when we arrived, the Lady opened the Bar, so we could relax and have a drink on arrival. Very friendly and accommodating, I was happy to relax for a couple of hours, getting great service until I went out for dinner. For this reason, it is a good excuse to visit again. The 'Suite' was large, suitable room - no issues.

Because I had earlier, stupidly, left my suitcase on a train heading for the far east of Poland at Breclav, and subsequently having to travel to Bohumin just before the Polish border(phew), I was going to be arriving late(around 2030 instead of 1730). The pleasant young lady on reception awaited my arrival, thankfully. Breakfast cooked to order, sausage ,bacon and eggs. Very good. Hotel is situated around 10 minutes walk from Kolin station, and about 5 minutes from the lovely Kolin town centre.

Breakfast was a cooked English style breakfast and was better than expected. The location of the hotel, appproximately 10 minutes walk from the station was great, and equally the distance to the rather nice town centre was about the same. The young and very good English speaking receptionist was very pleasant and helpful.
