Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LatviaI would have liked wider options - more juice, eggs, not just half of one boiled, and more.
I liked bread and coffee.

PolandDon't have free parking, on the street can park only peoples who live in this city that's sad. Little small rooms and bed have too hard mattress.
Good breakfast, funny and talkful staff beautiful city centre I like to visit this town more times. Silence in night what I like so much. Fantastic pub close to hotel and you are really happy when you back to hotel.

SpainIt's an old hotel that may need to be remade. The whole city looks quiet and old, and so does the hotel. It seems that it has it's best moments on the 1980's and 90's. Buffet breakfast a bit poor compared with other hotels.
It's at the center of the city, in a nice street. Temperature was fine and the bed, even if not too new, was acceptable. Staff very friendly. Shower also good. For me it was enough this place because i came to visit some friends living very close.

PolandI have stayed at the hotel at least 10 times during the past two years. As always, the staff is great. The hotel interior has a 90's post communist vibe; however, the rooms have been recently updated. Breakfast is great. Eggs are made to order !

GermanyWe were on a long and tiring 3 day driving journey and en route we spontaneously booked Grandhotel Garni for our overnight stay. Having had a rather disappointing stop-over the night before somewhere in Romania, we were hoping for a more charming and restful experience in Jihlava. Before we even arrived, there were already some extremely pleasant and forthcoming email exchanges with Milan, the Concierge. Upon arrival, he was exceptionally friendly and helpful, advising us on parking, the local surroundings and restaurant recommendations. We went to eat in what he called his favourite local restaurant and we had a fantastic evening with excellent food and local drinks. Milan's forthcoming helpfulness coupled with his dry and cheeky sense of humour really made this stay very special and one to positively remember. On top of this, the hotel itself had a really funky atmosphere of old style charm and impressive design features. The light fittings in particular were quite spectacular. The room was of a good size, nicely furnished, clean, well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful with a fine selection to cater for all tastes. All in all, excellent value for money, great location, and a memorably positive experience. Thank you dear Milan and all your colleagues who made our stay so very special.

PolandBreakfast quite basic. Some common areas of the hotel quite dimly lit. In rooms more power sockets and better lighting would be a improvement.
The hotel has quite fancy retro design, which I enjoyed. The rooms were really spacious with high ceilings. Stay was really pleasent :) Breakfast included in price

GermanyWifi did not work but it was about to be repaired. Beds are really noisy. The road in front of the hotel was surprisingly noisy for such a small town, even on a Saturday night. But I have stayed in the hotel before and Jihlava is a good overnight stopping location for us.
The woman on the reception was on her own but managed everything well. The room are small but clean. The location is right next to the main square. There is a large garage in the same building. Breakfast was basic but nice.

United KingdomThe room advises you to adjust the air-con but not to open the windows - there was no aircon unit installed in the room which means opening the window was essential to air it out. There was no easy accessible sockets for charging my phone - either having to get on my hands and knees to crawl under the desk - or having to block the doorway between the ante-chamber and bathroom and bed by moving the chair in the room to rest my phone on. A great idea would be to provide a socket near the bedside cabinets (even a little extension cable with a socket near the bed or on top of the desk would be beneficial. Also there was no additional pillows in the room by default. I had to ask for these at reception after my first night in the hotel. Please make additional pillows available in room as the bed felt very firm and flat without these.
The location is great, right in the heart of the old town area, just 5 mins walk from lots of good places. 10 minutes from the coach station. Breakfast is a fairly simple continental affair but nice though the cutlery was oddly shaped (particularly the forks which felt awkward to use compared to a traditional 4 pronged fork). The management and staff were really nice and helpful during my visit and the water pressure in the shower was great which is just what you need after a long journey.

Czech RepublicThe room we stayed in was a bit too small for two people. For the breakfast during the first morningt here were no fruits served. But after we asked they brought them for the second morning.
Location in the historical centre, garage (it needs reservation but the price is reasonable), a neat room, a very friendly and helpful person at the reception (If I remeber correctly her name is Hana Holkbauerova). Clean and starched tablecloth and napkins during the breakfast. Good coffee.
