Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe only reason I gave a 9 for the entire stay was due to the bathroom. This may sound picayune in the large picture, but for what it's worth: the bathroom felt small and cramped, the shower stall even more so, there was literally no counter space, and there was only one small hook for a towel, clothes, or any other personal item that could be hung. As a result, I ended up going back and forth between the bathroom and living space to use what counter space I needed while in the bathroom. Finding my room was a bit confusing. Wall signs indicating which direction to go for which rooms would have been helpful. This is standard for most hotels I have stayed at. Although I understand the need to conserve energy, the lag time between exiting the elevator and the lights turning on gave the guest environment a kind of creepy feel, especially if no one else was around, which was usually the case for me. Finally, the rooms are not completely soundproof. The guest in the room next to mine seemed to want to practice the violin at times when I needed to rest from travels or the day's activities. It would be great if such guests were assigned rooms at a distance from others.
The hotel is very close to the Congress Center, which is where I needed to go. It is a pleasant 5-minute walk. Along the way, there are restaurants, cafes, etc. It is also very close to the train station, possibly within walking distance, but best accessed by taxi if with luggage. Aside from the above logistics, and most importantly, the staff was very friendly, helpful, and great in communicating with its guests, either through automated messaging or directly in person. The staff is fluent in English to accommodate foreign visitors. Other perks include an attached restaurant specializing in steaks and burgers with a modest selection of other items, including salads, desserts, beer and wine, etc. Breakfast is also included with a variety of typical offerings, including eggs, coffee, cereals, fruit, juices, etc. The breakfast dining area is spacious and pleasant, and the food service staff are very attentive and helpful. All in all, this is a hotel I would definitely return to if visiting Zlin in the future.

Czech RepublicThis is more about what could be improved: The quality of the breakfast could be upgraded. Some fresh juice, homemade bread or pastries would make it perfect. It would be nice to have the possibility to make some tea/coffee in the room. The corridors do not appear to be renovated, and previous comments were mentioning the smell of cigarette in the rooms. I only noticed it in the corridors.
The hotel is perfectly located and close to the bus and train station. Very friendly and helpful staff- from the front desk to the breakfast lady. The cleaning service was also very discreet and got the job done efficiently. The room looked new, it was clean and comfy. Bonus point for the fact that it was also spacious for a single room, same for the bathroom and the sink. It is very much appreciated! Large choice for breakfast. Great to have restaurants on site- the burger at Legenda was tasteful and the staff friendly.

SlovakiaThe bathroom smelled awfully from cigarettes. The receptionists at the check-out reacted with a smirk and only after a long while where it was obvious I expected a reaction, responded with a muttered “sorry, we will report it”. Unprofesional.
The general cleanlines was high, the receptionist from the check-in was very helpful and nice.

Czech RepublicAs I expected this to be the best known hotel in Zlín, I can´t agree on "modernizing" the interiors. New additions (colours, furniture or details) are putting this hotel down:((( Our room was newly equipped, but the furniture points not to a 4* hotel. Management should choose a good architect and not just stick it all with a kind of kitchy "glue", otherwise the hotel will lose its renowned position... breakfast we had was just mediocre:(((
Perfect wiev, a good place to stay in...

Breakfast – lots of things too choose. Really nice was selection of a seeds and fruits. Coffee made by coffee machine was tasty. Breakfast was excellent and tasty. Location – Hotel offers awesome view. It's close to Baťa's skyscraper, Baťa's institute 14|15 with museum with awesome exposure "BAŤA PRINCIPLE: FANTASY TODAY, REALITY TOMORROW" (about shoes, company, business, values, traveling, art: posters, shoes), Baťa's brick houses. Bata's monument is on the hill above the hotel. Náměstí Míru (square) is 10 min. by walk.

Czech RepublicPart of the hotel is shared and sublet to many small businesses. Access through elevators is shared, and the whole impression is very mixed. The hotel part is separated behind doors on each floor after the elevator. It feels like communist hotel, which is not necessary totally bad, but it is too much.
Super location, nice reminiscence of the communist history. Easy and reasonable parking. Room (suite) was nice, with communist style refurbished furniture.

SlovakiaThe staff was not wearing face masks at the reception, nor in the restaurant when serving breakfast!!!! This is very disappointing, as as we are expecting the hotels to follow the rules. Also the restaurant was a little bit outdated and would require some reconstruction.

Czech RepublicThe communist approach the hotel has. Really brings me back to 1980s. If you lost the plastic key card, they even charge you 4 euro, and they are willing to spend time with sending you text, calling you, sending you invoice. Despite all that is probably more expensive than 4 euro.
