How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Not a very comfortable bed, but it could be my subjective view as well.
A very quiet place, with its own charm. Located within the university building, which has its special feel and atmosphere as well.

The property didn't answer via booking chat. I had a question about parking, I wrote them several times but didn't get a reply.
- Free parking. - Comfortable beds. - The room is fully equipped (hairdryer, electric kettle, bath accessories). - Nice location. We parked the car at the hotel parking, and took a taxi to get to the city center (it cost about 4-5 euros). But there is a tram to the city center, it will take about 20-30 minutes to get to the city center.

The hotel was 20 mins on tram 9 from Brno centre. Fugnerova is a close tram stop but the walk to the hotel is mainly in the dark by trhe side of a dual carriageway The room was on the 7th floor of a university block. There was a lift. Check in was slow as the receptionist seemed to type my whole passport. She was friendly though. The room was basic The bed was firm

Everything is ok but don’t expect comfortable beds .. like sleeping in a student’s dorm which it actually is

Nice room with fridge and personal very kind. The hotel it was perfect but it was not luxurious and a very important thing it was 2.4 km to de city center in the car.

The location is now close to a construction site so access looks bit odd but the accommodation itself is OK
This is a university dormitory within a university campus, good value for money, very nice view from the 7th floor

There is no service at all during weekends. No breakfasts, no room service, no fixing bags... They don't mention this in advance.
Location. Tram stop close, which is important for those without car. 15 min ride to the main train station. Quite place with relaxing nature wiews

It has what is needed for shorter stay, have small fridge, electric kettle in the room as well as some cups, plates and utensils. Every guest recive two towels and small soap and shampoo. You can pay by card for your stay. But I think the most important are the people workig there, they were really nice, friendly and helpfull, we left something in our room and they keeped it and stored for us, so we were able to get it back which save us a lot of problems. Thank you!

Reception is only after 6pm on weekdays during the summer period, a bit difficult to check-in. Beds are a bit hard and the hairdryer was not working in the bathroom.
Great location with a car, easy parking in front if the building. Modern equipment, rooms had everything we needed (incl. fridge)

The room was well equipped - decent small fridge (without freezer), electric kettle, TV, microwave, hair dryer in the bathroom, bedside lamps and plenty of electrical outlets. Lots of storage space. Everything was clean, except for a few deep stains on the carpet. Great view (from the 7th floor) Elevator directly on the floor / generally barrier-free access Vending machines with refreshments on the ground floor 24/7 reception Pleasant silence and peace with low sound penetration from adjacent rooms. Only a few minutes away from a direct connection to the city center/main train station by public transport (approx. 15 minutes drive) Pleanty of parking space

The wifi signal was weak - our phones were only able to connect near the entrance. Laptops didn't have any issue though. We had to use the tram, it wasn't really possible to get to places on foot. The furnishing and the bathroom were outdated. The walls were thin, we could hear our neighbour doing duo lingo.
The view was nice. The parking lot was convenient.

The bedclothes are dirty, stained, someone else's long black hair is on the bed. The pillow smelled of someone else's women's perfume. Everything indicates that the bedding has not been changed since the previous guests of the hotel. Long black hair on the bathroom floor.
