- it isn't possible to darken the room completely (so I was awake very early 😬) - no pluck sockets near the bed - the breakfast was disappointing (more selection and a more friendly waiter would have been great...) - no shower curtain in the bathroom!! (??)

Polite and nice people working there, breakfast was alright, the rooms were beautiful, spacious and clean. If we'll be coming back to Karlsbad, we will definitely be considering this hotel again!

Cleanliness needs to improve. The mugs and glasses had lipstick stains and spoons were also dirty. We booked a room for 4 adults and they only gave us 2 mugs, so we had to ask for more. Be aware there is no proper shower, just a bathtub. Not much choice when it came to breakfast.

The building is beautiful, in a quiet and clean area with onsite parking, right next to a beautiful forest. Just a 5 minute walk to the central boulevard. We were very grateful for working radiators because we arrived on a particularly cold and rainy day.

My stay here was entirely spoilt by the extended difficulties I encountered in accessing the hotel by car and the attitude of the staff on arrival. The hotel lies deep within the Karlovy Vary Central Spa Zone. Every road into the zone has a No Entry sign, with supporting text only in Czech. Because there is another hotel with the same name in the town, neither Google Maps nor Tesla Navigation will plot a route to this one. The one way system within the Spa Zone means there is only one winding road which will get you the hotel. I spent 45 minutes driving around in the dark before finally unlocking the puzzle. On arrival the only person there seemed entirely unbothered and claimed not to speak English or German. Since there was nowhere to eat at the hotel and could not get any help with finding somewhere else to eat, I dined on bread, cheese and biscuits in my room.

The hotel occupies an impressive mansion with large and beautiful rooms. It has a very secure gated parking area.
