Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandThe room was clean, comfortable and you can get everything whatever you need. Staff was friendly and helpful. In the hotel is a nice cafe where you can grab some delicious cake, cafe, wine and even diner. The whole place has nice atmosphere.

AustriaThis is not a negative of the hotel per se (and a non-issue when you're not impaired in any way), as it's just a consequence of being in a building of a certain vintage (and they are not making a secret of it): There is no elevator (for people), so there is a flight of stairs leading to the rooms (a baggage elevator exists, though).
The hotel is perfectly situated in Olomouc, when you want to explore the historic city center, and it's just as drivable when you arrive by car, as it is walkable when you arrive on public transport or just leave your car parked after your arrival. On top of that, apart from the great location, it's also a very sweet hotel. The staff are great from check-in, through your meals and other needs, all the way to your check-out. And the breakfast is fantastic. The hotel itself is lovely due to the preservation of the historic core of the building, mixed with the right amount of modernity.

Czech RepublicWe stayed in the Deluxe room, and unfortunately, it was quite noisy at night - noise was coming from the street and from the hall.
The whole staff was extremely nice and helpful. The breakfast and the design of the room were amazing.

Czech RepublicIt is located in the city center, and people can be really noisy, especially on Friday or Saturday nights. Can be unpleasant if your bedroom's windows are oriented into the city street. On the other hand, it is a perfect location if you want to enjoy a little bit of nightlife.
Beautiful vintage rooms, beautiful bathrooms, comfortable big beds, everything is clean, excellent service, very pleasant personnel, lovely restaurant downstairs, excellent breakfast.

Everything was perfect! The room was thoughtfully appointed, and I can’t think of anything that would make it better. The whole place felt newly updated, and they take good care of everything. I had read reviews of people complaining about no lift; the building is old, and the staircase looks original. We were in the third floor with heavy suitcases. That may not be an option for everyone so plan accordingly. Breakfast was delicious. All of the staff were amazing and very helpful. I would stay in any of the Miss Sophie properties again!

PolandStrongly recommended to people who don't like typical, chain hotel and enjoy not obvious interiors. In my room it was a case of old, wooden construction and modern stuff. I enjoyed it very much.

Wow! What a place! Where to start? :) I had an absolutely lovely time here. I loved the history of the accommodation. Special thanks to the kind staff in Sophie's café who gave me such a warm welcome. The location could not be better! I'm already recommending Sophie's to friends and encourage them to partake in the magic of Olomouc. Big thank you :)

United KingdomSome rooms at the front can be noisy because of the cobbled street and trams though there is double glazing. It was very hot but we found the air con noisy. Other rooms have fans. The young staff would benefit from overall direction from a manager as the room cleaning in our 4 night stay was very random.
Loved this quirky place, very characterful old building, beautifully restored and decorated. Cute garden at the back for drinks or to relax. Excellent location right in the middle of the old town. Very friendly staff. Recommend Room 1 at the back which has a little balcony and overlooks the tree-filled garden. Is also very quiet unlike some front rooms.

Sleeping in room 7 right under the roof with a skylight. The room was clean, furnished in a cute way, and had all the facilities you need for a couple of nights, including A/C.
