How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Small bed for a couple, hard to open the door to apartment - the lock is probably broken a little bit, coffee machine leaked when making coffee, noisy neighbours, location is full of homeless people, not comfortable to go home in the evening

We can't access the code for the key outside but thanks to the staff who helped us and come.

Not the studio fault but there is no grocery stores nor restaurants nearby. And it rained all day, so no chance to visit old Brno.
Not very far from the train station. Basic studio accommodation, very clean. Excellent Wi-Fi.

The shower went cold after 10 to 15 minutes if not sooner.. the bed was cracking and I had to clean some of the dishes.. we also only had 2 towels to dry ourselves after we showered when we stayed there for a week.. it has a funny smell when you walk in but that's only for a few minutes.
It's exacly like the pictures! The key was also easy to find. There are boxes next to the door that hold your key and all. We didn't have trouble with the door that much, you only have to use a bit of forcs. Everything was comfortable and we loved it. Its close to the center, you can walk there or take the tram. Would definitely return here!

Getting into the room through a long corridor that is incredible smoky. I guess people smoke in the corridor. This smoke goes into the room under the door gap, which we had to block with our clothes.
Location to old town and good price. Great parking, next to apartment about 300 meters.

The neighbours were very loud and also we could hear shouting and lots of noise from the street.
It was very close to the train station, clean apartment. We had everything we needed

The pick up and drop off, of the key is not on the same location as the Hotel/room was located. Although, its not that far don't get me wrong, but i don't like it because i felt i was mislead and its confusing! The place was creepy because of lots of rooms long dark hallways which are outdated.
Nice location walking distance to the center of Brno.

The way to obtain the keys is really sophisticated. I spent almost a hour to understand and find the keys. Host person don't speak English and all explanation (perhaps using Google translate) was unclear.

There was no coffee, despite the description saying the coffee is free for us to use, with the nespresso machine. We pointed it out, then they brought it over. Maybe it was just forgotten this one time. Beds were not comfortable at all. I hurt my back sleeping there for 2 nights and still busy recovering. Host was okay. Asked us for documents to be sent to her beauty salon email address, but never responded that the documents were received and/or accepted, so we did not know until we arrived whether we would have any issues.
Place was okay. Location is not bad for the price. It was easy to find the place and find the keys, despite needing to pick it up on the way. The downside of that is, that we could not take a tram from the train station to the property as we had to pick the keys up halfway and had to walk with our large suitcases all the way (about 18min walk) The internet met our needs, kitchen was nice and clean. Shower was good.

However the building is really strange and we had a difficult time finding the apartment. It was super loud throughout the whole night there were neighbors talking and people screaming and we could hear them really loud and clear.
The place itself is ok as shown in the photos. The location is good as it is very central and there is a parking which is super close which is convenient
