Room: Our room was a bit old at the third floor. We were a bit unlucky: - The electricity made a short circuit the first time we came in at night. - There were not enough sockets for electronic devices (2 adults+2kids consider how many we needed). - The bathroom lock was not working. My son got locked inside, hopefully we were there to rescue. - The room key stopped working twice and I had to visit reception to make it work again.

Breakfast: Breakfast was great. There were plenty of options. There were interesting machinery to make your own waffle and pancake. Room: They have started renovating the first floor. Those look awesome. Location: I think the location was great. We found everything we needed at a walking distance. Swimming Pool: The kids liked and enjoyed it. Security: Hotel seems secure. They care about your security. You cannot go upstairs without using your hotel card. Facilities: The hotel has many activities/places for kids. Playstation corner, soft banks, kids enjoyed.

Booking.com made a mistake and despite I booked a room for 2 adults and 2 kids, it booked only for 2 adults and one kid. Right after the reservation, I spotted the mistake and confirmed with the hotel, if we can come 4 and if we can have later check -in. Received an answer "approved". Unfortunately, approval concerned only later check-in what was not clear from the message. Before the arrival, I confirmed again per phone. It was agreed that we get a room for 4. But lady at the reception then made a mistake and based on original wrong information, we had a room for 3 only. One kid - 7 years old, slept with husband and me on a bed. The next day we moved to the bigger room and all was good.

We were allocated on a floor where the rooms were not renovated. As such the room is quite dated with weathered fittings. The air conditioner wasn't very effective so I'd imagine summer would make the room quite stuffy. There was inconsistency in what each room was allocated. There were no gowns nor slippers in our room while the room where our friends were staying in had those items. Another inconsistency was our bar fridge being stocked while our friends room fridge was empty. I have to also mention the common areas of the hotel such as the elevators where they seemed rarely cleaned as I saw a thick cake of dust on the doors. Finally as they are retrofitting this hotel while renovating, they decided to keep swipe access cards instead of upgrading to tap cards which don't work well especially in the elevators.

Novotel always excel with their breakfasts. The bed in the room was very comfortable. Excellent location.

Our only issue was the temperature of the room which was quite hot and a little uncomfortable during the night. We queried with the staff who said it was because we're between seasons which being spring I took to be that the hotel was still circulating hot air rather than cold air, might not be a problem at other times and the staff did provide a fan for the room which helped.

We (2 adults and a 5 year old) stayed in one of their recently refurbished rooms. The room was very nice, had separate shower room and toilet, and the sofa bed was made up for our son for when we arrived (we did confirm this with them before travelling). I think some of the rooms are currently being renovated so I'm not sure if this applies to all the rooms but we were happy with ours. There's an indoor swimming pool available for all guests to use which my son loved (I recommend taking some flip flops as the changing room isn't immediately next to the pool (this isn't a problem). On the whole we enjoyed our stay and I'd happily stay there again.

We were asked to pay a city tax. Trying to understand what this is I asked the person at the reception and they just kept repeating “it’s a city tax, you know the city tax”. We never received an explanation about what this silly charge is. Add it into the price and stop asking for surprise charges, it devalues the whole experience at the hotel. The ventilation system is too loud, I struggled to sleep every night. The hole point of the hotel room is to be able to sleep well. Other that that the room was great, bed was super confy, we had tea and coffee in the room but no teaspoon 🤣

The hotel was nice and clean and the staff brought my partner a bubbly and a brownie for his birthday.

The housekeeping staff who cleaned our room at third day seems to be quite lazy as cups were not cleaned properly etc.

The room was not cleaned regularly, and we have to request it separately. The cleaning was also not good - it was dusty on the tables and everywhere even after the cleaning done. Bed and pillows were not comfy. The slippers and bathrobes had been provided selectively, and only after our request. Once we requested 2 towels, and instead they provided 2 due to towel limitations during holidays.

Location was good - can walk to the city center and different areas. Good room space, normal breakfast. Nice fitness gym with good equipment, good sauna, however the swimming pool is small - fitting in 2-3 families only. Very nice staff at the reception, but a bit long check-in.

I’m not a fan of carpets in hotel rooms, but that would really be my only minus for the hotel.

The swimming pool was slightly too cold and from the name of the hotel I expected it to be closer to Wenceslas Square.

The windows can not be opened, and the AC does not work sufficiently, so it is hard to get fresh air! The air circulation at the WC was not good. The good news is that the bathroom and WC are separated.

We stayed as 3 friends. The room size was okay. The staff were friendly, kind and helpful. There was no shampoo. We informed them while going to breakfast, and they solved our problem immediately; we received it in our room when we returned from breakfast. The breakfast was perfect! It also includes gluten-free options.The location is not bad but It takes 20- 25 minutes to go to the old town, do not forget your most comfortable shoes!
