Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomMy room was up a very steep ladder - it was fine for me but somebody larger or unfitter may have had a problem with that.
The lady at the desk was super helpful when I needed to rebook my train ticket. She made the booking and printed everything off for me and helped me with all my ongoing travel. The location is great.

IsraelThe walls of the room I stayed in were quite thin, so I felt like I was sharing a room with my neighbour. Thankfully his nightly loud phonecalls didn't bother me since I brought earbuds, but take this into consideration if you can't tolerate noise. Or bring earbuds just in case.
A quaint pension with everything you need. It's located right in the middle of Prague's old town, 5 minutes from Charle's bridge, and yet the street itself is a side street so you get away from the noisiness and crowds of the rest of the old town. Everything was clean and the workers were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was simple but exactly what I needed to stay full throughout the day. I hope to come again to Prague and stay here :)

United KingdomNo kettle in bedroom, but I would definitely return.
We loved this little place. It needs a little tlc here and there but was phenomenal value and felt relaxing to be in. Beds and bed linen were hotel standard. Breakfast was great and dinner, especially the pizzas were delicious. Across the road from live music in the Irish pub and 100 metres from classical music concert but it was a very quiet establishment while we were there.

GreeceThe breakfast could be improved and also the room is quite small and a free table is not always easy to find... also, there are no English channels available on TV.
The location is excellent. Two minutes walk to Charles Bridge and about 6 minutes to the astronomical clock . Everything is within walking distance. Also the room was very quiet, despite the central location. Our room was basic, but ok for a few days stay... there is a small restaurant, where breakfast is served in the morning... basic but enough to start your day..

FinlandThere was no airconditioning in the room and the room got very hot over the nights. Stuffy breathing air in the room wasn't so nice. It was easy to hear people talking and walking over the nights so sometimes it was difficult to get in to sleep and continue sleeping if you woke up because of the noises.
A very nice breakfast, included cereals, fruits, breads, sandwiches, toppings, there was a coffee machine and just baked banana cake which was so good. The hotel and room were cozy and warm. There was everything that we needed like clean sheets and towels, soap, hairdryer and doublebed and a sofa which was possible to open and make as a bed for two. We could also borrow a flatiron from the reception. The customer service was very nice and kind, the hotel was a family company.

AustraliaOur room overlooked the street and nearby restaurants etc. At times it was quite noisy such that a room overlooking the inside courtyard would be better next time.
The location was just what we wanted, close to train and trams. Good and varied restaurants nearby. Close to most sites we wanted to visit, especially the Main Square and significant Churches and their recitals. The buffet breakfast was very good. The staff were invariably friendly and helpful with 24hrs reception.

FinlandIt's not a big issue, but as it is very close to one of the busiest streets and there is an irish pub across, it can get noisy in the evening. Especially when you have to keep the window open because of the hot weather.
The staff was super friendly and easy to talk to. Breakfast was alright, I got everything I needed, but it's not very big buffet. My room was on the 'attic' I guess you would call it. There is steep stairs that you had to climb, but the staff brought my luggage up. Otherwise the room was lovely and was very good for my two night stay. The location of the hotel is very good, few minute walk away from the Charles bridge and five minute walk away from the astronomical clock (unless you get lost in the maze of Prague Ols Town streets :)

RomaniaEven though I requested a quiet room (and they did their best to help me with that, which i appreciate), the walls are pretty thin and the windows are directed to the restaurant garden, which can (sometimes) get a bit loud (but only during the day- i needed to sleep after a long flight and there were some loud people in the garden, but i was so tired that i slept through it anyway).
Had a great time in Prague, the bed was really comfortable, the 24/7 reception was a nice thing to have given the fact that you will probably go out at night and come back to the hotel late at night. Also, I asked for a quiet room and if possible to have an early check in since I had an early flight. They did their best to help me with my requests.
