Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Romania10min to the only tram going to center. Mind the triple room is actually sharing ( a very small) bathroom with one other room, we would have been very angry if that room was occupied... Host do not speak English, so not very helpful
Private entrance, parking spot, nice terrace for a cigarette

PolandEverything what was needed was in place: parking spot, comfortable beds, kitchen, bathroom. The host was very welcoming. The apartment is rather far from city center, but nearby you find a direct tram line to the Old Town

RomaniaThe host was nice, they spoke a bit of english and managed to comunicate with them, the room was clean, spacious and had a balcony for smokers. We had private bathroom (althought you had to go thru the common kitchen/lobby) and parking space inside the property. It was a bit far by the center but there was nearby tram and troleybus station and managed to find someone to help us with it. Overall a great experience.

LithuaniaWe have triple room, but the bathroom and kitchen are not exactly private, they are shareable with a neighboring room. This it's not as is in room description, need to be fixed by owner. Fortunately there was no other guests during our stay at all, so there was no inconvenience. Also pillows could be more comfortable
Very quiet and cozy place to stay for a few nights if you are planning to explore Brno center and the surroundings of region. Apartments are in a convenient place, 5min on foot to the #5 tram plus only 9min to the city center. Also is good location to get out of town by car. Room is spacious enough, simple but cozy.

HungaryThe accomodation is located near the end station of tram #5, which you can reach by 5 minute walk. Many buses also stop there, so it's very easy to get to anywhere by public transport from here. The surrounding area is a nice neighbourhood, very quiet and pleasant. The standard twin room was just the right size, wifi speed is good, the shared kitchen is a nice touch, you can start the day with a nice coffee or tea during your stay :)

SloveniaThere are no restaurants or pubs nearby - very untypichal for Czechs :) We needed to walk at least 15 minutes to find something open, but ok - this was not main purpose for us, but after long ride man deserves a beer of two. But if you want to go to city center, there is at least 3 km to walk or to find proper tram number.
It is quite hard to find a place for 5 persons during weekend in Brno. Location is in residential quarter, but there is free parking. Internet is ok, really small kitchen is enoug for making coffee, but nothing more. Beds were wery comfortable, everything was very clean. We have had (our own) breakfast at the big terrace. Very peaceful area, nice for families. Tram station is 7 minutes away.

SlovakiaA very nice room with comfortable beds. There's also a shared kitchenette. You don't have to be afraid because the property isn't located in the city center, by a tram you're there very fast and for sleeping the quiet neighborhood is much better.

Austria- The place is not marked from the street in any way and is difficult to find without calling the owner. - The owner doesn't speak English, German, Russian or any other language but Czech spoken by the tourists. If you come from abroad, it might be tricky to communicate. - The owner wouldn't let me in with my luggage-sized clean bag on the sole ground that it carries a bicycle. Regardless of the bag being unable to leave any marks or mud and being compact enough to fit basically anywhere without getting in the way, judging by her „there's no place for a bicycle“ I suppose it simply scared her. - Never lean anything against the walls of the place a tiniest bit, it drives the owner mad. - When trying to be told that I was tired, and I desperately needed a place to stay, and my bicycle and belongings were not a dirt bomb, the owner just rolled her eyes and said „Oh God“ which I considered straightforward rude. - „The only option is that you leave your bicycle here in the street or at your friends' in Brno, you have friends in Brno, don't you“, is it but a joke? The two reasons I was standing there at the place were I came there by bicycle (I value it) and I had no friends in Brno (who could find me a better accommodation I guess). - Being tired enough to try to convince her further, I had to leave. When I finally did, she laughed.
