3 guest rooms. Ours well set up, comfortable, balcony with seating, TV incl. Netflix/Youtube. As with most of recent reviews, excellent part served / part buffet breakfast. There is a bar downstairs, bar snacks mainly, so would need to find somewhere else for other meals, outside and inside seating, open to public and popular with walkers and cyclists. Closes around 9 pm but we got drinks in after that. Newish type building, house officially quiet at 10 pm. Located by a river, nature type setting, best for those who are getting away from it all. 1/2 hours walk from station, and at the edge of town. We enjoyed staying.

The owner lives there, so you have to get back before 9PM (curfew). This might not be ideal for some as you have to do a lot of planning. Personally we have been able to adapt, but we would have liked to hike until like midnight as we are night owls. Now I do not know what would have happened if we did not get back in time, he probably would have let us in still... but we did not want to anger him or put him in an uncomfortable situation. Because the owner lives there, there are some private areas such as the backyard which is fine, but we did not know it beforehand... oops.

It is basically in the forest, our room had a window looking at the nearby river. Multiple hiking paths start from the place. The owner is very very helpful and funny guy, he gave us pretty much the whole plan (in order!) on what to see around the area, which roads to take when hiking etc. They make excellent breakfasts, it has permanent elements but they also rotate some which makes it quite different each morning.

Everything was perfect

A place for people who are looking for calm place close to the nature. Even if there is a bar in penzion, people weren't loud and service was closed quite early. Room was large and comfortable with huge window on the wall. First what you hear after wake up is the sound of river and birds singing. Very nice owner and staf, who serve tasty breakfast. Good option if you plan to visit Pardubice (20 minutes by car) or Litomysl (40 minutes by car). 20 minutes walk from castle in Slatinany.

The bed was very hard - too hard for me. I had to use all the soft bedding (and clothes) I had with me to lie on to make the bed tolerable. I might be unusual in this but it is the hardest bed I have ever slept on. I mentioned it to Tomas in the morning and he explained that it is a new mattress, a hard one as other previous guests had complained that the old bed was too soft. I guess we are all different!

The location is wonderful, next to a flowing river giving a relaxing water noise. The air was so fresh too. I slept with the window open and was very relaxed. The hosts are wonderful, very kind and helpful. Even offering a quick homemade soup on arrival which was very welcome. The room was clean and pleasant with dual aspect windows ( my room overlooked the river). Breakfast was excellent. A lot of food and nicely presented. Also there are lovely walks nearby - Tomas explained them in excellent detail.

Very good location. Rocks on one side, river on the other. Calm area without car traffic. Pleasant and helpful host. There is a bar downstairs with good food and beer.
