Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicThe breakfast rolls seemed a bit hard.
The Kocour is in the Old Jewish Quarter, a perfect location for exploring Trebic. I have mobility issues and I had no problems. The hotel rooms are upstairs above the restaurant area, so some stairs were unavoidable, but I asked for a room on the first floor and I managed one flight of stairs just fine. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Mine was overlooking the inner courtyard. I ate dinner in the restaurant downstairs. I can recommend their home-made burgers! Washed down with a glass of draught Pilsener Urquell - of course! I took an early night and slept like a baby. In the morning I was offered some scrambled eggs with the continental breakfast and the coffee was delicious. After a hearty breakfast I just crossed the road to walk up to the Basilica for a tour and enjoyed my day. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

BrazilI dont have any major complaints, only that it would have been nice to get some directions to where to park the car, as you can’t use the spots in front of the hotel for free.
The hotel is super well located near the historic jewish quarter and the st. procopius basilica, everything can be done by foot. The hotel itself is very nice, with a large courtyard inside. When I arrived it was a bit confusing because you need go go through a restaurant to reach the hotel, but after it was easy as the reception is on the first floor. The room was spatious and clean, I really enjoyed how confortable the bed was. Even if the room was overlooking the street, it was very quiet.

United StatesNo notice that restaurant was closed for renovations, so we couldn't easily get inside to check in. If restaurant had been open as normal, it would have been quite easy.
Excellent location very convenient to both Jewish quarter and town square, quiet, well-stocked room (including free water, cups and glasses, and tea), good continental-style breakfast

Czech RepublicOne night was a short stay. We never wanted to leave :)
I believe it's one of the best accommodations in Trebič. Located in the the UNESCO Jewish Quarter, the hotel is fabulous, well maintained, with impressive interior design and comfortable touches. We loved our stay and we will come back next time.

Czech RepublicThe building is a historic structure, so there are steps and low doorways to be aware of!
Good breakfast to start the day, fantastic location right by the Jewish Quarter and only a very short walk to the Basilica. Staff were all friendly and apparently bilingual. Complimentary tea (and kettle!) as well as locally produced soft drinks in the room, along with vanity sets, were a great touch.

United StatesRoom was broken up a bit with the bed up some steps and the bathroom down on the level. Guess it was because of the old building. As in most cities in Europe, parking is away from the hotel.
Very easy to find. Almost right across from the Procopious Basilica and not far from the old Jewish section. Hotel is old and quaint with narrow stairways which added to the charm. Bed very comfortable and we slept well without much noise around us. Breakfast was excellent!!! Bathroom very modern.

EstoniaThe room was way to hot too sleep properly and we didn't know how to turn the heat down. The breakfast selection was on the weaker end. For coffee there was no vegan milk. The room had no office table where to work properly.
The heritage vibe in the place was very nice. We loved the uniqueness in the room. The stuff was more than helpful and made us feel welcome. Free water and tea was very nice add on and and helped us relax.
