Room a bit basic but adequate, couldn't fully close the curtains catching on the rail. Net curtains ok..

About a 10-15 minute walk from the main station, 5 minutes from the main square in the centre. Its quite an old building but well preserved. Good selection for breakfast. Fairly quiet tree lined park outside.

The room was very old fashioned and the window didn't open or close properly and the radiator couldn't be turned off leading to a sweaty night's sleep

Pretty comfortable and a decent breakfast. The location was excellent. The hotel is housed in a beautiful building

No porter in the hotel. Same cold breakfast everyday.

Gives an archaic feel to those who like it. Old hotel. Elevator is present. Decent rooms with good heating and hot water availability.

Nothing to not like - it was a lovely, relaxing stay.

The location of the hotel was a very short walk from everything we wanted to see in the city. It was also nice and quiet there. Dedicated parking was a bonus. A lift took the edge off carrying bags up the magnificent stairs. The building is old and has a wonderful charm about it. We wondered how many kings, queens, princes and princesses, along with politicians, film stars and composers had stayed there. Our room, on the 3rd floor, was huge and very comfortable. I’d read some adverse reviews but found no evidence to support suggestions that the staff were rude, no indication that the place was a dump. Yes – there was no shower curtain but if an adult cannot have a shower in an old-style shower cubicle without soaking the bathroom, then perhaps they should ask Mummy or Daddy to help them next time.

Breakfast wasn't that good, but I'm not a big breakfast eater anyway. Pick the coffee on the right on the machine. That one's okay. The left one is terrible. Water is all over the floor of the bathroom, when you use the bath, but there's plenty of towels.

Beautiful old building from the times of Austria-Hungary. Oozes history and charm. Excellent location. Interior of the rooms probably haven't been changed since the communist era, except for the bed which was new. Room was quite cool, despite above 30* outside, and there was an old, but excellent and non-noisy fridge in the room. As one who have stayed in lots of places with noisy fridges, I can't stress non-noisy enough. Ah, that cold glass of water in the morning. To me, that's more important than some luxurious furniture, which looks like every other hotel in the world. Excellent value for money.

It seems like only one short wing of each floor is used for hotel rooms - the whole hallway on the other side of the stairway is in darkness after sundown. The Shower in my room was not up to par, the drain was clogged and the showerhead is pitifully underpowered and showing its age. The room was generally clean and the linens were fresh, but the closets and the floor of the room and bathroom had random pieces of dirt or other debris laying around.

The architecture of the building is great. The Staircase is beautiful. The location could not be better.

I like stronger tea bags in the morning so had coffee ;-)

A fabulous historical building in the old heart of the city transforms you back a 100 year to the first republic. Perfect for anyone interested is art nouveau architecture. Unfortunately the building needs some investment to bring it into the 21 century as the furnishings and rooms haven’t been updated since 90s communist times. (Which somewhat make the experience even more unique) Perfect for some who appreciates faded glory and grandeur of the large European hotel of the past. Not a hotel for someone how wishes for creature comforts and modern gadgets Nice simple breakfast/ helpful staff Really enjoy my stay.

The bathroom was a disaster and really needs deep cleaning, showering surrounded by mould was not pleasant. Also, shower is open and water goes everywhere plus some tiles are broken. There were clear signs of water infiltration on the maon stair case, give it a fix, would be a pity to let it go to ruin. Heating was too much at night bit there was no way to lower it.

The position is great and all major landmarks/museums are easily accessible from the hotel. It was a pleasure to stay in such a beautiful building, we felt like princes. Bed was very comfortable and staff cordial. Breakfast food was nice but quite standatd for the price.

They have us a room on the top floor, where there are no more nice walls, and also no lights [until we entered] so it felt like a horror movie, haha. The bed was creaky [but comfy].

Private parking in the yard. Lovely foyer design.

The welcoming by one receptionist. To give me some information it was like asking a beduin to cross the Sahara desert without shoes and water. Once the eye is pleased with the beauty of the facade of the hotel, it is only met with major disappointment in the interiors of the rooms: furniture stuck in the 90s (make it early 90s), just passed the Revolution, and the bathroom is too stuck in those times.

The location is great, right in the centre. The facade of the hotel and the main stairs are very beautiful, styled in the typical Revival asrchitecture.

Nothing. Nothing I would not have expected and enjoyed. Don't expect exaggerated perfection. It's the beauty of history and fate and the very friendly staff that did make me feel very good.

The special athmosphere of the building with the two meters above my had tor my soul . The very friendly staff. The perfect car parking in the courtyard. The taste of the 1970ies. The taste of 1900. All the historical and contemporary details You discover by Your own, if You're curious enough.

    - it's such a shame seeing something that used to be such a beautiful place in this state. Hope one day someone invests in it and revamps the living hell out of the place:) - "soviet" style rooms; - horrible pillows;
