How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Small minus for paid hot drinks in the room
Stay in double room with a direct view od Prague Castle (wow), hotel clean, staff very helpful. The hotel was chosen for its location, close to metro station ...just a few steps and we already have first attractions that Prague can offers. The sounds od peacocks from the nearby park may disturb some people, but for me it was a pleasant surprise. Hotel U páva is definitely worth recommending.

Hotel had a good location, restaurants & shops in 1min walk. All the bridges in walkable distance. Romantic hotel and very good breakfast. Would definitely go back. Spacious and nicely decorated room.

The hotel has a few sides, our side didn't have an elevator, and our room was at the forth floor. Also, although breakfast was okay, it could be richer.
Amazing location, the best in Prauge (it was my fifth time in Prauge). One minute walking form Kampa island and Charles bridge, five minutes to the Metro. Hotel is just near by Kafka museum and there are lots of restaurants around. View from our room was amazing.

Sometimes you can hear the neighbors, but we asked the reception staff to react and I believe they were in charge to handle the situation.
So nice breakfast and Lovely staff at the restaurant! Clean and pleasant room, with a nice view to a park! Perfect location, walking distance to main attractions. Perfect for the Prague Half marathon event :) Definitely recommended!

All was excellent.
The staff war accommodating, excellent and very friendly especially Martinka, Alenka and Mr. Karel. We felt like at home, thanks for the special touch of “ livanecky” from Martinka! Wishing all the staff only the best!

Bathroom was a little dated, but clean and super soft towels. I think the fit out of the property reflects the price. So no complaints.

The only disconvenience for us was being on the 3rd floor without an elevator, but we managed. There is another part of the hotel reached by an elevator so if it's important you have to mention it...
Very good small hotel in lovely quiet location, on the west bank of the Vltava, close to Charles Bridge, Kampa Island, nice restaurants and caffees, attractions, public transport . Special interior design, the room was well sized, very good breakfast, very nice staff.

The property is beautiful and has a nice old , historical vibe in it. The rooms are comfortable and with a nice design , the stuff very friendly and the breakfast buffet very good, next time in Prague will go again for sure.

I would have preferred a bathroom with shower instead of the bath tub. (Getting older!)

I would not say it is a minus, since the accommodation is very authentic and traditional, but count with the fact, there is no lift, which is also mentioned in the hotel description, so if you might have bigger luggage there are stairs.
Great location very close by Carls bridge. I was also impressed by the variety of the breakfast, cereals, several kinds of pastries and bread, fruit and vegetable. And it was included in my rate. Plus coffee from the machine was a plus. Breakfast staff was also very friendly. Internet worked well. Very friendly and helpful staff. Thank you Leonora for making me feel welcome and so goes for Marek from the night shift. If in Prague I will definitely come back!

No tea making facility in room.
Superb room overlooking the square. Extremely spacious (suite) and warm. Very good breakfast with special items every day from the kitchen. Fantastic location close to many sights, restaurants and transport.
