“I'll start with the fact that the hotel is very nice, excellently located (close to the ferry and a small beach), has beautiful rooms, well-equipped, and offers great breakfasts, coffee service, etc. Only positives here.
The first concern relates to the advance payment for the stay. I booked the trip six months in advance, in August 2023, and Booking.com offered a free cancellation option up to a month before arrival, which would be until December 2nd. Therefore, I was surprised to receive an email from the hotel right after making the reservation, stating that they expect an 80% deposit within 3-5 days, or my reservation would be voided. I protested since there's an option for free cancellation, but they were firm. I wanted this trip, so the only thing I negotiated was a deferred payment until the end of September, but it still meant financing the hotel for 3 months, as my stay was planned for January. But that's okay.”
