The kitchen facility is a bit odd. Very small compared to the size of the hostel and you can't enter it freely, you have to go back and forth to get a key from reception in the opposite building. Barely any crockery/dishes available either.

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Especially Ameen from reception who's been so friendly and sweet the whole time I was there. He always wears a smile and is always keen to help.

Price is the cheapest in Munich (from €12/n) so you can imagine what type of people you sometimes share room with. I would appreciate curtains on the beds, you have to improvise.

Staff is perfect and helpful, place is cleaned regulary and lobby is huge. I have visited many hostels but AO is my #1!

Noise from outside of window at midnight from young people. No more space on their car park, so we had to park on street and walk around 20min. to the hotel.

For one night was fair enough, room was clean, toilet and shower as well.

There is no security in other building from hostel. Creepy locals are usuing facilities, not good? There is no lockers in rooms?

We traveled with our family, which allowed us to bring (no joke) 26 pieces of luggage. The lift was broken for more than half of the time and we ended up bringing almost all of the luggage up five levels by hand. That was a nusciance and troublesome on the bookends of our stay.

When you stay somewhere, you should not notice the room because it should be clean, orderly and functional. A&O did great in this respect. The staff was truley exceptional though and were increibly hostpitable and helpful. We felt very taken care of by the staff. Especially the food service staff who met our dietary needs with consistent exceptional service and accomidation.

Lack of parking space. There was no available parking places on site but also not possible to reserve before the trip.

The breakfast space is in another building and there are no elevators. We had to use stairs with luggages so it was inconvenient. Also, there weren’t anything warm in the breakfast (e.g. scrambled eggs or sausages). You will not leave hungry but for the price I think there should be more than 3 types of ham and 4 types of cereal. Also the location is a bit far from the central area and from the nearest subway. It’s not hostel’s fault obviously, just the guests should consider 10-15 min walking to tram and s bahn.

Fast check in system was good, but it didn’t give us the room keys so we had to end up at the reception anyway. Room was clean and comfortable.

we are very disappointed in the service room, because first they don’t know the door before entering but they just come in without knowing or even verify if the person is there or not, or if is changing his/ her self. They also don’t clean as well, they do what they can do and they always run instead of taking their time and clean all the places that must need to be cleaned.

we really liked the good service of the guys in the reception, they are very social and always there to help in any need.

It worked for us in a family room, even when facing the railroad the windows did a good job isolating the noise. Since it was winter we didn't need to open them. Good price for Munich, close to a S bah station. The kitchenette is not accessible

When I arrived in the room, I had to sleep the first night in the bunk bed without bedding, as it had no bedding. The next day I went to ask the receptionist for the bed linen, he gave it to me and I had to go up and put the bed linen on the bunk bed myself. On the third day, the room was cleaned, but the person who cleaned removed the bedding and left new ones on the bunk bed... but I had to put the bedding back together. (again)

No towels in the room. Had to go to reception but was given only small ones. The TV was fully detached (from electric power and the TV cable). One of the elevators was broken. Same person at the reception to register check ins and serve at the bar. Long queue to make check in. Proposed alternatives like app and check in machine do not work.

Nice person on reception. Multiple keys to access the room. Clean room with an option to request additional cleanings. Good price for the breakfast.

The cleanliness was not there: some "brown" stains on the walls. The bathroom had an awful smell. Some mattress were smaller than the bed frames itself (in the bunk bed but also in the adult beds), my kid was constantly falling in between the bunk bed frame and the mattress - waking us up at night.

Size of the room ( 2 children and 2 adults in one room) and still enough room to spare. Location, close to the metro station. No noisy at all for a hostel.
