The hotel's location requires climbing a lot of stairs and is quite a distance from the town area. While the serenity and isolation may appeal to some seeking a peaceful retreat, others may find the distance inconvenient for accessing nearby attractions. Overall, if you're willing to trade convenience for tranquility, this location could be a perfect fit.

Very good value for money. Quiet location by the river, at the foot of the mountains. Very friendly staff. Family room is really spacious.

Comparatively to other German hotels it was quite expensive and the room was quite tired with no air con.

Nice sized room with okay facilities quite close to town centre.

We were surprised by the number of guests and staff who smoked and we really disliked how the cigarette smoke pervaded our room, even though smoking was only allowed on balconies and in the grounds. It detracted greatly from our enjoyment. The smell was with us when we went to bed and again as soon as we awoke.

Location was quiet. Room size was great. The view of the garden and mountain in the distance was lovely. The balcony size was very comfortable and reception staff were all fabulous.

Nothing, a very pleasant stay. Unfortunately the restaurant and bar area were closed when we visited (off season). Near the bar is a fire and seating area which online looked very pleasant.

The location was peaceful yet a 10 minute walk along the river to the old town. This was a very pleasant walk in the morning and in the evening. The breakfast was fresh and varied and the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and well maintained. A lovely stay.

The hot part of the breakfast selection was the same scrambled eggs and soggy bacon every day. The eggs were fine but the bacon was just wet and not enjoyable.

Had to have the TV on in order to use the internet which was a little strange.

The staff were fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. Great location just outside the town but with only a 10 minute walk. Just around the corner from the famous waterfall and a superb steak restaurant. Parking in the basement was a real bonus given the snow and ice. Didn't try the restaurant but the bar was great. Good buffet breakfast.

The rooms are ancient... Poorly heated. Windows let in all the cold from outside. Beds made so much noise that you'd think you're gonna wake up the next room neighbours... Forget about doing you know what. Bathroom was made for Hobbits and won't fit two adults at the same time. One toilet paper roll per day, so gotta be smart about your businesses. Plan ahead!

The location is excellent. You need about 10min walk until you reach the town. Breakfast was good too.

Need to bring my large bag to up a hill. As there will be no bus available on that area. but also it does give you serene and rest as there arent many cars around

I am travelling alone and have single bed available. It was the best hotel that I have stayed for my trip. Hotel is new and clean, room is warm and comfortable. Requested for mountain view and that is the best. Additionally, do remember to go to their sauna! Most important is the staff are very friendly and helpful as well. Remember to get your Fussen Card from the hotel if you travel by public transport

The bed was a bit hard for me, and pillows very thin (but different tastes for everyone). You can also hear the wood structure when you move, not too annoying.

Medium-high prices Room very spacious and with lots of storage. My room also included a sofa, a desk and a balcony You can use the pool and the sauna with previous notice to the staff
