Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

KenyaThe room we were given was very dirty. We had to pick the vacuum cleaner in the corridor to clean the carpet just after we checked in. The concierge gave 2 options of moving to a smaller room or waiting for cleaning to be done next day. So when we saw the vacuum cleaner it was easier to just do a quick clean. They offered us sparkling water, which we don't take. When we went to exchange concierge said they could only replace 1 bottle. I think they should ask the guests what type of water they prefer, still or sparkling. I would recommend they borrow a leaf from Ibis Styles (Marie de Clichy) in Paris. We stayed there and it was amazing. The simple things they did to make customers happy.
The breakfast was great. A variety to select from, very friendly staff as well. The location is excellent. Walking distance to the HBF, very close to the shopping areas, lots of attractions very close by. Plenty of places to eat if you want a quick and easy take away.

United KingdomThe bathroom. The toilet seat should face the door as there was not enough space for legs. The shower screen let water out and left the floor wet. The space between the bed and sofa bed was limited. Horrible area at night, we found out about the red light district the hard way which was not nice with children.
Breakfast was nice and the staff also made sure we had something to eat on the day we checked out due to our early train. It was good to have a kettle and bottled water in the room. The main bed was comfortable, but the sofa bed was not. Close to the station.
