Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNo lifte/elevator to any floors. Had to re-sign to WiFi each day. Door into bathroom blocked access to the sink when door was open. Climbing into a bath was anoying. Bit of a walk to/from train/bus station with bags.
A wonderful hotel near the central train station in Hannover. Wonderful, kind , friendly staff who attended our every need. We had an upstairs apartment-like room with small kitchen-bedroom, plus a larger bedroom-lounge and also and en-sute bathroom. Entire room was carpeted. Two single beds pushed together to make a comfy double bed, with a duvet each, clean bed sheets and large pillows. Small table with draws on each side of bed. Plug sockets near each side of bed. Chest of draws near the wardrobe in the main room. Two comfy armchairs either side of a large coffee table. Bottles of sparcling watered offer on arrival. Biscuits provided each day. Room clean daily. Kitchen had a simgle bed for a child or small person and also contain a kitchen sink, fridge and hob to cook food. A few small cups and a couple of glasses and some simple cutlery. Small kettle also provided. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and sugar in sashays provided. Good speed Free WiFi in room. Quick sign-in. Key to enter room. An excellent bufet style breakfast provided each day, roughly 15 Euros per person. Bacon, sausage, boiled or scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, salad, fresh breads, fruit, orange juice, plus tea-coffee and more. Main train station is a 7-12 minute walk. The Lister Meile for shopping is a 5 minute walk. Several eateries in the area. Lots of shopping options close to hotel. Bathroom had shower in a bath, a toilet with paper, sink with hand soap and several and and bath towels, all included in price. Room we stayed, 104 cost roughly 63 Europs per night for 2 people, booked on booking.com Would recomend for couples, would stay again. Staff are fantastic.

Czech RepublicThere was no fridge in the room and in the night we could hear people coming back to their rooms. Personally I think people should be quiet if they go back to their room during the night (instead of speaking loudly), but in the case they speak loudly, you can hear them from the room.
I loved the hotel, the romantic style of the hotel, the comfort, the location, the personnel. The hotel is near the train station and you can reach it easily by foot. The room is very pretty, romantic and spacious. I love the big window in the room which gives a lot of light. The bed is comfortable. The room and bathroom were very clean. The personnel was very kind and helpful. We had breakfast in the hotel and the breakfast was amazing, there was a big variety of food, sweet, bread, vegetables, salty food (as ham, eggs, sausages), I loved the breakfast! The restaurant was also very beautiful. I would definitely go again to this romantic hotel and recommend it also for the service and quality.

IranMy room was great, but my colleagues' room, although the same specs and booking price, was not convenient and also had poor lighting. So there is a difference between rooms in this hotel for the same price!
The position in the city, cleanness, friendly staff.

GermanyThey charged 4 euros per night extra for a new tax. Even when this might be mandatory by law, they should specify it in the total price during booking already. I guess they just forgot and will add it soon.
Nice hotel. A little bit old fashioned in some parts, but still very good. Also positively old fashioned, that they still take very personal care in many little details, like small gifts or very attentive staff. Room was quite big. Close to the main station in a silent Street. All in all a good Hotel, where i liked my stay.

HungaryNot much, in our room there weren't enough sockets for electrical devices but that was the only problem I saw which is extremely minor.
5 minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof, has many cafes, restaurants, shops, and parks around the hotel in a walkable distance. The hotel itself is very nice, our room was clean, big enough, and amenities that is enough for a hotel room. Totally recommend!

United KingdomNothing really, we felt for the money that we paid, we got more that what we paid for. Great value for money and we had a great stay. I appreciate though that the annex may be a problem for some, but for us it was perfect.
Check in went well, staff were very friendly and we were quickly checked in. Our room was in a small annex about 10 meters away from the main hotel, this mean leaving the hotel walking 10 meters to gain access to the annex, this was not a problem for us as it was dry and warm (hot) but in winter or if it was raining the getting to reception or having breakfast, you may get wet. The annex was stair access to the rooms. Our room was very big street facing and with a large comfortable bed, lots of floor space and a wardrobe cupboard and good situated power-points. The room also had a TV. The bathroom was also very big, decent sized bath/shower sink and toilet. The annex also had a lovely roof terrace though we didn't use it, it overlooked Hanovians gardens and seemed pretty when were were exploring the floor. The room was very clean. Breakfast was one of the best ones that we have experienced in Germany plenty of option with regards to a continental breakfast, cold meats, cheeses, fruit, veg, bread, cereals, juices, and a small hot selection. We did not leave Hungary. We only realised on the last day that reception also had a lounge and a bar area. The local area was lovely though only 5 minutes away from Hanover Station (which is busy and bustling) we felt that we were staying with the locals. Local shops and restaurants were close by and didn't feel like a tourist trap, in fact we felt that it was local residents area, which we loved.
