The self check in could use a few more directions to reduce any confusion, same with parking tips ahead of time.

We enjoyed everything about this property. Family owned, extremely friendly and accommodating… my sister had diet restrictions, at breakfast the owner literally went to the bakery to retrieve bread she could eat for the rest of our stay. Rooms are amazing and location is perfect.

We could have stayed longer. Unfortunately, the stay was too short. We will be staying there again!

Everything was excellent. The staff & owners went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was wonderful especially the freshly squeezed orange juice.

The pillow was not enough thick for me. This depends the people.

The staff was really nice and helpfull. I had the half-marathon and they were kind to allow to put food in the fridge and to leave my bag after the check-out.

Room refresh was a bit haphazard - ran out of coffee and clean cups on a couple of days and without reception staff it wasn't always possible to get more.

Very friendly owners and staff. The room was very comfortable and well-equipped. Having a fridge to keep milk fresh etc is always good when staying a few nights. Dressing gowns and the availability of beach mats and flip flops was also appreciated.

No coffee and tea making facilities in the room. They did give us a kettle when we enquired but you need your own supplies ie, tea, coffee and sugar. There is no fridge in the rooms or ironing facilities.

Decent location close to local parking. Staff very friendly and helpful and the location is great. Breakfast was also very good. The rooms were top class, spacious and with decent sized towels.

The keyless check-in system didn't seem to work easily for me so I had to wait awhile for someone to return to unlock the front door when I arrived midafternoon.

I had an excellent three day stay here alone before the rest of my traveling group arrived. The owners made we feel very comfortable; felt like my family. Enjoyed the breakfast every morning with many choices including eggs cooked anyway you like them. Hotel was very safe, room comfortable and loved the location as it was easy to walk around for the six days I was here. Would highly recommend Hotel Alte Schule.

Nothing as everything was perfect.

This is one of finest Inn's I have stayed in all of Europe and the US. , The attention to detail of the staff went over and above what I would have normally expected. The service was excellent and pleasant starting from the owners to the entire staff. In my view the location was perfect and easy to find. It was not in the middle of everything but in our opinion that was very convenient for all needs. The room was very well appointment and spacious with modern amenities. The bathroom was unbelievable with a heated floor and excellent shower. Perhaps the finest shower and bathroom we have had in al our travels through Europe and US, If I could I would have rated this facility a 12+.

Nothing really. No negative points to be mentioned. It is rather expensive, but in this location and for the received quality, this is to be expected. No surprises here.

Location in the old town on the island was perfect for visiting Lindau. No need for transport, nice walks around the island. Breakfast is self service with big choice of everything and you can ask for preparation with eggs (omelette, scrambled eggs, ...).

I found the single bed a little narrow.

The property was very attractive and immaculately clean. I particularly liked the subtle lighting in the room. The hotel was situated close to the town centre and also very close to the park.

Great breakfast with all different options, the food was fresh and even had an orange juice presser! How fresh can it be? Just throw one or 2 oranges and watch the machine do the job. We love the croissants, the yogurt and the cappuccinos.

Hotel Alte Schule was an amazing place to stay! The renovations made to this old old building were just so well done - keeping elements of the old while updating to the new and efficient. The owners and staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and delicious every day. And everything was very comfortable.

I received detailed instructions some weeks before our trip about how to access the key to the building and our room but by the time we arrived (some 15 days into our trip), I had forgotten! So, we were not able to immediately gain entrance into the hotel. It would have been helpful to have received a reminder with those same instructions a week before the check-in date.

The location was excellent, within walking distance to the harbor which was great as we took a cruise around Lake Constance; we also did a walking tour of Lindau, which enabled us to really appreciate the area and the convenient location. The staff were friendly, responsive and helpful (especially when my husband wanted to heat up his dinner from the prior evening!) We had a junior suite with a good-sized bathroom and large shower.

I couldn’t connect via WhatsApp so it was hard to get in touch outside breakfast times.

Lovely breakfast The location is great but it may be an idea to provide ear-plugs because of the traffic running over the cobblestones at night.
