Very little not to like. However, there was no lift, so this hotel isn't well suited to less able people. Also, getting the shower temperature right was a bit of a challenge.

Ideal location. Breakfast was nice. Quirky rooms. The motorised beds were a nice novelty. Although there was no bar, you could help yourself to drinks from a fridge (reasonably priced) and write down what you'd taken.

..i don't like the idea of having my breakfast served to you all in your table instead of buffet. - the most expensive parking fee i paid so far -14 Euro per day - and mostly i have a very very small room. The bed i had in my is very high. The first ever i had experience such a bed in a hotel, as if i am in the hospital where you can adjust the head part and feet . The bed is very uncomfortable because i have to climed 2 steps up since the mattress is as high as the window sill. This is not advisable for the old people especially if you have problems with your hips or any health issues.

The location is good, it's very near the old town. The quality and the quantity of the breakfast is also good but...

Perfect location, great staff, we needed an early breakfast and they did a super job helping us get fed and get going early! Thank you! Room kitschy theme but gorgeous paintings and woodwork. Great value especially for tourist town! We were in a room without a view but it was compensated by the beautiful paintings and lighting behind them.

The apartment was huge, and very comfortable. It was on the fourth floor, which was fine for us, although with no lift some may struggle. The rooftop terrace opposite our apartment was fab too. Parking at the back of the hotel was good (accessed via hummenstrasse) and the member of staff on duty moved his car to let us use a bigger space as i have quite a long car. Staff were great, very friendly, good english, and patient enough to let me try my broken german. Breakfast great, many rat-based features as would be expected in Hamelin. Location perfect for everything Hamelin has to offer.

The decor of the apartment on the top floor is somewhat dated. I believe the rooms on the other floors are more nicely decorated.

Hotel Altstadtwiege is located in Hameln's old city (Altstadt) and is close to restaurants, shopping, and the main sites. We had rented the 3-bedroom apartment on the top floor, which provides comfortable accommodation for four travelers. The breakfast was outstanding.

Central location yet quiet Good breakfast with the cute and tasteful theme of rats. Comfortable whose angle (both on the side of the head and feet) can be adjusted with a remote. Reasonable price.

The only thing wrong was that the blind on the window in the largest bedroom was broken -- the ones in the kids' rooms made the room nice and dark, so it should have been great, but it was missing. That was the only thing keeping me from giving this hotel a perfect 10.

A great hotel right in the middle of Hameln's adorable Altstadt! The staff was friendly, the breakfast was delicious (and Covid-safe), secure parking (and bike parking) was available, and the family room with 3 bedrooms was wonderful (although if stairs are an issue, note that it on the top floor). We had a great stay. Wish the weather had cooperated and we could have enjoyed the roof-top patio for longer.

This was a fantastic hotel and right in the centre of the old town. We were visiting the Christmas market which was a 2 minute walk. Great breakfast. Super friendly staff. If I visit Hameln again I will definitely stay here.

It was great and beneficial at reception and my room was ready an hour and a half earlier meaning I did not have to go back to checking in again like others in my group at different hotels. defiantly will go back next time I go to Hameln.

We loved everything, the bedroom was lovely with a comfy bed with quirky details. The breakfast was 5 star with everything you could possibly need. The breakfast room had so many lovely features we couldn’t name them all. The host was so welcoming and obviously took pride in the property. We arrived on motorcycles and had a quiet, safe parking area. We will definitely stay here again if we visit Hamelyn. We would recommend anyone to stay here.
