This place is located in a beautiful location. The staff / owners were so nice and helpful. There is a very nice play area for kids and adults inside the hotel itself. Breakfast was really nice. Really worth the price !!!

We are a family of three and stayed in this guesthouse for six nights. Our flat was large and comfortable.Max was very kind and gave us lots of tips on where to eat and what to see in the black forest. He was very hospitable. The breakfast was good also, there were no croissants or home-made cakes, but everything was good. We will come back another time.

The hosts were very friendly and the atmosphere generally was warm and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. The room was large, light and comfortable. Nice swimming pool and the views of the hills around, beautiful.

We love at all !! A truly atmospheric guesthouse, boasting breathtaking views of nature. Impeccably clean rooms that exude a brand-new feel from floors to furnishings. The beds were comfortable, and our family of four settled in with ease. Daily cleaning was exceptional. The breakfasts were not only delicious but also served with panoramic views of meadows and forests. The hosts , Max and Christoph, created a unique ambiance where guests freely mingled and engaged in evening conversations, adding to the enchanting atmosphere of the place! Thanks for our unforgettable vacation!!

My husband, adult daughter and myself could not think of anything that needed improving. I am so glad that I cancelled another reservation elsewhere and booked here instead.

Max and Christof could not have been nicer or more helpful. Their attention to details and making every guest feel special and very welcome was outstanding. They provided us with excellent recommendations for places to visit, hiking trails, and restaurants in the area.

We had a lovely time at Pension Altfogtshof. The location is wonderful, in the middle of the Schwarzwald surrounded by green and cows. The room for three was spacious enough, with a shared balcony and newly renovated bathrooms. Breakfast was varied, each of us found something we liked. We enjoyed using the games down in the basement (especially the pool table), and are sorry we didn’t find enough times to use the outdoor pool. Max and Christoph are very welcoming and friendly and really take care of their guests personally. They remember each and everyone’s name and preferences. They offered me gluten-free bread for breakfast without me preparing them in advance, and recommended and offered home remedies for my daughter’s sore throat. Naturally they also gave us great recommendations where to go and visit in the area.

Honestly nothing!

The Pension is in the middle of fields and forest, very quiet and beautiful. The hosts Max and Christophe are super kind and you feel at home right away! Nice comfortable bedroom, brand new bathroom, delicious and abundant breakfast. Just perfect!

We throughly enjoyed our stay. The view was beautiful and Max and Kristoph were very kind. The game room and heated pool is a nice feature to keep the kiddos entertained. The room was very comfortable with plenty of space for our family of 3.
