The bathtub was very slick so standing in the shower was tricky. It may be my misunderstanding, but I think of the towel provided as a bath mat, that I stand on when I get out of the shower. I am used to a plastic mat that goes down in the bottom of the tub to stand on. And this may be part of the efforts to eliminate any use of plastics. So an FYI, use a hand towel to stand while taking a shower.

The owners were delightful - so charming. I would go back just to see them again. There were so many special touches to make our visit memorable. We came in out of the rain and were served a slice of cheesecake and hot coffee while we chatted. There were fresh flowers in the spacious room. And breakfast, wow, it was so unique in presentation and also delicious. The decor has a real 1920s art deco feel to it, along with great American Jazz music.

The service and hospitality is outstanding. So warm and friendly and many local tips. The breakfast is outstanding (great presentation). The hotel has recently been renovated so the rooms and facilities are new, modern but with a warm feeling. The location is also great, near the river, in the city center and with a view on the wine-hills of Wurzburg from our room

If I had to say anything is that the room was a bit too warm. But this can also be personal preference, and I am sure they would have changed the heating.

The room was very comfortable, and spacious, with a sense of vintage luxury but really really well maintained and new at the same time. Very comfortable beds, great bathroom, very friendly staff. We felt really welcome and comfortable. Lovely, lovely place.

Everything was exceptional! From being met at the curb by the owners, to fantastic recommendations on what to see, where to eat, and interesting discussions, a beautiful room with the smallest details thought of such as fresh flowers, chocolate, complimentary drinks, beautiful material, and a delicious breakfast specially prepared for me with variety and good taste. The owners went way out of their way to make me feel welcome and a valued guest. I'm already planning a trip back to Wurtzburg just to stay in such elegance and kindness. Highly recommended!!

Very clean, comfortable bed, good shower, water and coffeemaker in the room, fresh flowers, upscale feel, good location ( about 10 min walk from the bridge), wonderful staff, amazing breakfast. The hotel has a parking spot, so ask if it’s available before parking somewhere else. If the breakfast is not included in your stay, order it. It will make your day.

A fantastic hotel in a perfect location. Very well equipped, nothing is missing. Nicely renovated and decorated. Nina and Wolfgang are the most caring and devoted hosts. They love the place they own and run and wouldn't let anyone else ruin it. You will be pampered and coddled and enjoy a dreamland breakfast. By the way, it's the Mozart Festival in Wurzburg in June 2023. Doubts about where to stay?

Everything was great!

Excellent hotel near the city center. The hotel is owned by married pair. We were met by them and they even helped us with parking. The room is big and very clean, well equipped (mini-bar with a bottle of local wine, capsule coffee machine with milk frother, tea) and even had fresh flowers. Despite the hotel is located next to the street it's very silent in the room! Breakfast was awesome!

I read this property received some bad reviews in the past, but that is NOT the case now; December 2022. I have to say we had an amazing stay here! We were greeted with warm welcomes and very friendly staff. The building was beautifully restored and everything was very clean. Now keep in mind, this is not one of your large corporate franchises. This is a restored building from maybe early 1900's and the owners have gone to great lengths to make our stay very comfy. Down to the double windows. We didn't hear a thing! And the breakfast is a must! Very clean and fresh ingredients. The location is perfect. Close to a handful of delicious eats and historic places to visit.

I cannot say enough good about this property. The proprietors, Wolfgang and Nina, were engaging, helpful and interesting to visit with. They added to the overall enjoyment of our stay. The property is under new ownership and has only been open 4 months. The breakfast was the best we had in our four stop tour in Germany. It was plated and served at the table. The presentation was beautiful and it was a step above in quality and creativity. We will definitely be back.
