Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThere was just one thing. One morning of my stay, I stepped out of the front door. The ground level is just a bit lower outside. So it is a step down. Outside the door, there is a metal grate in the ground (which appears to be a feature common to many buildings in Germany). I suddenly fell to the ground and clutched my ankle in pain. I slowly got up. Fortunately I found that I could stand and walk ok, So that was a relief. I looked at the grate and it was bent. I realised the grate must have turned my ankle over. I gestured to the man behind reception. I pointed to the grate and said - that is dangerous. Later in the day, when I returned to the hotel, I found that the grate was no longer bent, but completely straight, so it no longer represented a hazard. The hotel will have to keep an eye on that grate. It is a pity the grate is right outside the door. I did not step out of the door with any force. It was not me that bent it. It must have been bent prior to my stepping on it. Really, it was a fortunate outcome. It could have been someone older and frail who stepped on the grate and you are looking at a broken ankle or worse. But I want to say I am satisfied with how the hotel responded and it would not deter me from staying at Hotel am Pan again. I liked this hotel very much.
Clean comfortable room. I liked the decoration of the reception and my room. I did not have breakfast. That was nothing to do with the hotel. It was just I had other arrangements. I would try the breakfast if I stayed again.

CanadaIt was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, there was a nice buffet breakfast in a nice dining room, it was centrally located so an easy walk to shops and restaurants plus a lovely waterfront promenade, the room was set up with a nice desk.

GreeceThe hotel appeared to be used by workmen who left with their cars / vans from 4.45am . As we overlooked the car park, little option to sleep after 5am. When asked for ice, the ‘receptionist’ advised they were only a hotel ! She also told us to Google for a Supermarket to find ice ....
