Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Good location for walking into Ahrensburg city. The hotel is very nicely decorated , we felt like being in a ski resort place. Lovely to get a free coffee or tea in the morning at the reception!! Most of the hotel team are very friendly.

The window blinds were broken in the bedroom. And the stuff wasn’t able to fix it. They didn’t show any priority to have it fix. The key cards for the room wasn’t working ever other day. So we need to go down every night again for new key cards.
The apartment was very clean and with good equipment. 24 hrs availability of stuff. The location is great. The free parking

Front desk could be more welcoming and helpful. The room wasn’t properly refreshed. Although the bed was made the used cups were left, the tissues ran out and weren’t replenished and room was very cold initially.

Some garage parking - a little on space tight, so if you are not a confident driver in a big car, could be fun.
The staff were very friendly. Secure parking, and great restaurant, fairly close to main roads. Someone on the desk 24hours- even at 3:30 AM.

Perfect location for overnight stay when traveling from Holland to Stockholm. Nice hotel, friendly staff, everything was new and clean, breakfast was good! Will be using this hotel next time for sure.

My room was just in front of the elevator at the second floor. A lot of people up and down, and a lot of noise each time someone used the elevator.

The rooms were good sized and the bed was perfect. I enjoyed a great solid sleep at this hotel, not something to be taken for granted. The breakfast buffet is fantastic! The location is perfect with nearby amenities and train station within walking distance one one side and schloss Ahrensburg and miles of beautiful hiking trails on the other.

Lift starts from the upper floor, hence you need to lift the heavy bags on the steep stairs which is little tiresome. Rooms are too small !

Breakfast was good. Room OK but beginning to look tired. Room location at the front was far too noisy from the road noise and began to irritate. Ensure ask for a room at the rear of the hotel.

Good breakfast (worth of money too), spacious room for 4 people, our dog was considered nicely too (water, food, own small "mattress"). Super fast check in and good parking (if your vehicle is below 1.95m). Hotel was definitely a positive surprise and value for money.

We got the impression from the hotel's website that breakfast was included for all rooms, but it turns out we had to pay extra. Checking in took quite some time as the receptionist was keeping our keys in a pile with a bunch of others and we had to help him sort them out.
Stayed at this hotel for one night as we were unable to find space in Hamburg proper. Having tried it I would love to come again for a proper visit, as we only saw the beautiful castle nearby on our way out. Room was quite comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was tasty with a lot of choices.

I was used with the double rooms which were very comfortable and clean. This time I received a single room, with a very small bed. Someone smoke in the room and it smelled awful.

Fitness room and sauna were being remodeled and not available.
We were visiting from the US to see old friends in Ahrensburg. The location proximity to the train station, their house, and the nearby castle were outstanding! It was also very convenient to walk into the town center to access, shops, and restaurants. The accommodations were very comfortable. We were very pleased that they had oat milk available for morning coffee to accompany an excellent breakfast as my wife has dairy issues. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area.
