Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesFirst room had a unidentified noise problem-possibly the air conditioner but it occurred every 10 minutes. I was able to move at 9:30 at night to another room.
Great location to see Dresden.

SpainThere was no kettle in the room to make tea or coffee.
The location was perfect, in front of the Frauenkirche and right next to Vapiano restaurant, which was pretty convenient. The staff was friendly and very helpful, they called a taxi in advance to pick me up the day I was leaving. There is no single step and the facilities are excellent, especially the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable.

PolandThere was no parking in the hotel, receptionists suggested another parking near hotel but it costs 28 euro per day, I found another parking 5 minutes far from hotel that was costed me 21 euro for 3 days ( parking located opposite to police station Tzschirnerplatz 5). Another thing that disappointed me a lot - they don’t have a cattle in the rooms, only nesspresso coffee maker, you can’t drink tea if you don’t like coffee :( BTW coffee and beverages aren’t free, 1 no-name coffee capsule costs 0.95 euro 😳 It was cold in the first night and there is no way to heat the room except bathroom towel dryer. So 4 stars more like 2 )
Good location, close to all interesting places and Christmas markets, a lot of restaurants around

GermanyCleanliness wasn’t 100%. There were many small black hairs on the bed and toilet floor when we entered. Also coffee in the room isn’t free, which I find a bit cheeky.
Location is so great, rooms are a decent size. Staff were friendly. Innenhof rooms were quiet.

GermanyScreen mirroring on the TVs doesn't work with Apple devices. The mini fridge was sparsely stocked and was not cold. - You pay for everything in the room, even coffee!! 95 cents per Nespresso capsule...there is not even complimentary water.
If you're in town for the Christmas markets, it doesn't get better than this location. You're less than 2 minutes walk to the biggest and oldest market (Striezelmarkt) and 5 minutes walk to at least 5 other famous and amazing markets. - We had a room with a window looking to the Innenhof (courtyard) so despite the lack of any view, we had zero problems with street noise.

United KingdomCharging €1 per coffee used in room is kinda ridiculous- every hotel I have ever stayed in has provided tea/coffee facilities free of charge - it’s not like you are an ‘affordable/cheap’ hotel for the area so bog standard coffee facilities should be included.
Location! Staff very accommodating - comfortable bed liked the view from the room.

Czech RepublicNo parking in the hotel No breakfast From the photos it looks like that in the rooms is a water kettle and tea. In reality there is a coffee machine. It will be good if you will show recent photos in the presentation. Twice between 8-9 am on Sunday the cleaning lady tried to enter the room to clean. The reception gave only limited hours - that's quite unusual for a 4* hotel. All the feelings were more like an upgraded Ibis hotel than the proud 4* hotel.

United KingdomThere were a few very minor things that could be easily improved with slightly better attention to detail e.g. small area of skirting board not clean, loose handle on bathroom door missing the rose, insufficient cups and spoons. There was no compendium/hotel information obviously available, which was problematic because we had difficulties that needed to be solved by asking staff, which was annoying, such as the airconditioning/heating is totally unintuitive so we needed a lesson on how to use it and no one told us that it doesn't come on if the balcony doors are open. There's no kettle in the room - you have to ask for it but you wouldn't know to ask because it doesn't say anywhere what's available on request. We were given some ice as someone in our party had an injury but we didn't know that was available. Who knows how many other things we could have had upon request. There is a car park but it's very expensive and needs to be booked in advance. Order a P-card from Contipark and park in the Semperoper car park for a fraction of the cost.
Overall this is a good choice and I would recommend without reservation given price via booking.com, excellent location for tourists, very helpful staff and size of room. There is an excellent, good value breakfast available in the Eiscafe at the bottom of the building as well as many other nearby restaurants so don't book the rate that includes hotel breakfast.

SlovakiaThe location right at the town square was very good, all the main sights like Zwinger palace, Semperoper and the main churches were all within a five minutes of walking. The room was clean, not too big, but it was enough for us, bathroom was sparkling clean, either well maintained or newly renovated. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book here again.
