As mentioned previously, the 2nd bedroom mattress + bed had seen better days. Suspect some kids had been jumping on it in the past! The level of cleanliness was OK overall. We used the supplied hair dryer in the main bedroom and little balls of fluff appeared from under the bed. However, no other unpleasant surprises and the kitchen and bathroom were very clean. The basin plughole in the bathroom drained very, very slowly (and no, the plug wasn't stuck closed).

Superb location at a competitive price. I loved the minimalist furniture and decor, which gave an impression of cleanliness. There was a very well-equipped kitchen with everything one would need for a short stay - except perhaps a microwave. Bathroom was great with a lovely high pressure shower, lashings of hot water and clean, fresh towels supplied. The main bedroom had a comfortable bed, but the single bed in the 2nd bedroom was very, very soft and made my back sore. Looking underneath, the supporting wood looked to have been broken and obviously not repaired. The office staff (there's an office that manages a number of similar apartments around Pariser Platz/Wilhelmstrasse) were great - friendly and helpful with good local knowledge of anything from supermarket locations to sightseeing tips. A short walk from the Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden, shops, lots of cafes and restaurants and U-Bahn stations on U5 and U2 lines. Despite that, it was quiet at night, with just the odd emergency vehicle siren. Can't fault the location at all. Photos are of the inside of the apartment- ignore "outside" etc labels. The watter kettle was broken - didn’t turn off automatically. Bad smell in the WC. Bad sound isolation. Was no iron, but said that ir will be. Little bit old fashioned inerior.

I believe that someone got into flat and stole euros and pounds from my wallet. [i came back by taxi, paid the driver ... went upstairs, left the wallet and passports on the table and went downstairs for a coffee ... took my cards because the bike cafe does not cash ... when we went upstairs ... the euro notes, coins and 30 pounds were gone ... called the emergency number to be told that i had the two set of keys ]

I think late night access over a weekend needs to be better organized. At mid night we were trying to locate a key box with no lighting.

If you wanted to experience some vivid Kiez-live, consider another location. We arrived at 10 minutes before 18:00, supposedly when the reception closes, but the guy in charge was already locking down and asked us to come again the next day to check in and pick up a second key set. The flat is spacious, equipped practically but without much charm. There were sugar and other food leftovers, dirt beside the washing machine in the bath. The batteries in the remote were flat, so we had to buy new ones as the reception isn’t manned in the evening.

If you want to be close to touristic highlights, it’s a good location. The flat incl. kitchen has everything needed, even a washing machine. If you happen to get a flat in one of the houses away from the big street, it’s almost quite in the night.

Only one bathroom which makes it difficult if four of you are in the flat. If you are over 5ft 10 the shower isn't great due to height restrictions.

Easy to collect keys for check-in, apartments are in a great location, easy to access all of Berlin at your leisure. Flats are pretty basic but perfectly comfortable for a short stay.

the photos on booking.com are deceiving. The apartment that we got was old and does not match with the photos. They have a lot of apartments and we got the bad one. It will be nice if there is salt, pepper, sugar and also some teas and coffess in the apartments. The only good think is the location.

Apartment felt a bit empty and sterile - not a real "home from home". Could have done with some soft furnishings like cushions to make it feel a bit more homely, especially for anyone staying for more than a couple of nights.

Fantastic location round the corner from the Brandenburg Gate and Holocaust Memorial. Everything within walking distance - the Museum district, Bundestag, Checkpoint Charlie etc. Professional set up with helpful reception staff. Apartment was quiet, clean and had everything we needed for a short stay.
