Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

UkraineThe staff didn't tell me how to get inside the hotel in the evening when they were not there and the main door was closed and they didn't answer the call, so I had to guess it myself, and that was stressful.

GermanyWith a larger car, parking is a "little" more difficult due to limited space.
A very nice and spacious room in a converted villa, with high ceilings and a stove, very nicely furnished. There was a small kitchenette in the hallway. Private parking on the premises with electric car charging. I didn't get to try the breakfast. However, there is a private steak restaurant in the building. The steak was fantastic and reminded me of the steaks at LaBrigada restaurant in Buenos Aires.

GermanyI like it in general. The one thing is that they are closing the door after 9, and you have a key. But there is no receptionist after that. But we don't have any inconvenience due to that.
The building was lovely, and the staff was helpful. I like a kind of historical room. It was close to the center of Dresden. There was a nice steak restaurant in the building.

Czech RepublicVery nice hotel in a late 19th cent-style building, room comfortable and supplied with all conveniences needed incl. a kitchenette hidden in closet. Parking place for a fee at the premises of the hotel. Excellent breakfast, partly a la carte, partly buffet style. The hotel is located at what seems to be a busy street crossing, but it is well sound-proofed. Trams for city center stop near the hotel and go often.

New ZealandThe layout did mean the bathroom had to be accessed via the bedroom… not a problem… but not always an ideal situation!
Gorgeous and full of character… within east tram travel from the rail station and into the city centre! Lovely breakfast.

HungaryI missed a small table or cupboard next to the double bed with a lamp. There was a night lamp with a table only on one side of the double-bed. We had to choose from a menu what type of meal we would like to have for breakfast the following day. Of course basic food was available (bread, butter, jam, joghurt, fruit, etc.) for everyone, but we had to decide in advance what type of egg, ham, bacon we would like to have additionally. The choice was wide but the portion what was served for breakfast could have been bigger. We also had to agree with the receptionist the previous evening, at what time we would like to have the breakfast. We went to the restaurant exactly at that time, but hotel staff just started to prepare the meals only when we arrived. This way breakfast was served very slowly and step by step, so our family of 4 could not eat the meals at the same time. I understand the idea of ordering everything in advance to decrease the quantity of not consumed food, but maybe serving all the meals at the same time, when guests arrive at the pre-defined time could be organized better.
The hotel receptionist was very kind and helpful. It is a very useful service from the hotel that vouchers can be bought from the hotel to be used in transport vehicles in Dresden. Check-in and check-out from the hotel was easy and professional. The hotel itself is in a very nice bulding and the downtown of Dresden can be easily reached by using a tram which has a station in a distance of 1 minute walk from the hotel.

GermanyWe loved the retro vibe of this hotel and felt instantly at home here. The staff greeted us warmly and were helpful and accommodating. Artushof is located right across the street from a number of buses and trams so it was easy to get around the city. And there's the gorgeous Grand Garden of Dresden less than a 20-minute walk away. We are definitely planning a future stay!

United KingdomVery noisy from the Traffic well into the early morning with the windows open. No air con so as it was hot outside we needed the windows open. We had a 3rd floor room which was very warm. if you use the kitchenette cupboard there is an extra cleaning charge of €15. The hotel makes a point of saying ‘Pet Friendly’ although pets are not allowed in the dining room for breakfast.
comfortable good size room. there is a very good restaurant in part of the same building. Not part of the Hotel. Cafes near by. Easy Tram stop.

Helpful friendly English speaking staff who.helped me on my very early arrival in the late morning, to park the car in their private parking I had pre-booked and issue a one day travel card (which they put on my account) for the trams so I could get around immediately. Then on departure another member of staff offered to raise the parking barrier so I didn't have to get out of my car. What service!! The room was enormous and very well appointed. Breakfast was a foodies heaven with a very wide buffet choice and hot food to pre-order
