Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AlbaniaStaff(expecially some at reception) not properly trained no focus at client Stayed for second time...better than first, when expecially check in was dissater: I left ludgage at reception 10am and left as check in 3pm. I came 3.30pm tired and frozen...appartment not ready till after 4pm. They knew I am here, but instead to hurry, delayed! Reception staff, did not know the telefon of reception, adviced me to scan QR code at room!?! Problem with the door locker was solved after 4 calls in few hours...from cleaning lady I found in coridor! They entered in the room 9am to clean, at the day I check out (at 11am)?!?!?...never happened in my experience with hotels! I booked two rooms for me and my daughter, ask to be close....her room was in the other building! Sure could be arrange better if they tried...booking 10 days upfront and she coming only for 1 night! I write this more to attention of management (as manager myself), as hotel is super nice and super location...shame not to use full potential!

RussiaDeposit for the stay is 150 euro, more than one night stay. Reception workers are not very polite. Room service adds 9 euro to menu costs.
Near 5 minutes walk from marketplatz and few minutes walk to the riverside. Room is okay, room service food is good

GermanyThis time I was given a room in the side wing. The room was small, no carpeting, no actual clothes closet and very loud as a large street in front of windows. The rooms I had on my previous stays were much nicer and quieter. So in all it was a bit disappointing. Next time I will be sure to reserve a room in the main building. Since my other stays were exceptionally good I will still be staying at the Atlantic when in Bremen.
I have stayed here a few times and it was great. Nice hotel, great staff.

United KingdomThe room wasn’t cleaned once the whole time we were there. This was surprising. The bar was very disappointing as it was in a corner or the reception area, there was a smoking bar which looked better but obviously had people smoking so couldn’t be used. The staff though were friendly and made good cocktails. Breakfast was so expensive so we went to the town square which was much better/cheaper.
The room had a great view and felt spacious. There was a coffee machine with pods supplied. The shower, shampoo, body creamer were fantastic. The location and friendly reception staff were great.

NetherlandsHalf eaten up minibar, which was corrected when we reported it. Unfortunately the message wasn't relayed to the day shift... Charging almost €10 for a 75cl bottle of sparkling water should be a crime. Fire alarm went off at 23.30 and everyone had to vacate the hotel which is a horrid experience when you have a small kid. It wasn't something the hotel could do about, but there was zero communication of the personnel. Not during / after, and neither the morning afterwards. And on that, I do blame the hotel. The fact that breakfast wasn’t included in the price was a nasty surprise. And last but not least. Apparently there was a cycling-course going through Bremen. I learned through it by accident, but everything would have been closed down at 10.00 and you can’t leave. We had to rush out the hotel early, else we were trapped and couldn't leave untill 17.00. There was -again- no notice or communication nor warning from anyone at the hotel that this would be happening. We als didn't get a warning before we came to the hotel, otherwise we should have never booked here. Everything stated above made this the most horrid hotel experience in the last years.
Spacious room, great location in center Bremen. Good restaurant. At that’s all of the good things to say

United StatesThere were no face cloths in the bathroom, the bedding was cheap and scratchy, the tv didn't allow connection to English speaking stations and the hotel lobby smelled of stale smoke.
The gym was really nice and well equipped, I also liked the sauna and steam room - great facilities. The restaurant was also good.

GermanyThe lobby and elevators smell like smoke.
Location is great but the value not so much, it's what you would expect from a big chain hotel room. The breakfast is quite expensive but it is good though.

ThailandThe cleaning team (on duty in 16th May, after 1pm) stole my 315€ perfume. I forgot in a rush due to a little accident and checked with the reception a few hours later once I noticed it. The cleaning team lied and pretends that they didn’t see any left item - which is a lie.

GermanyWhen I checked in to my room. The sink in the bathroom was not cleaned properly and had this nasty film over it. I also found a pair of underwear in my closet that weren't mine. It leaves you wondering how thorough the cleaning staff is, especially during a pandemic. House keeping kept entering my room after it had already been cleaned on the 2nd day. No knock just coming right in. I was sitting on the toilet the first time with the bathroom door open( becuase why not? In alone) and the cleaning lady just walked right in. The beds are not comfortable and they just shove two twin beds together and call it a " full bed". Its pretty annoying with the crack in the middle. One other thing that is annoying but no fault of the hotel, is the damn bells on the two churches nearby. They literally ring every hour on the hour and also at half past. We're talking 1am 130am 2am 230am 300am etc. Why ????? I DONT NEED TO KNOW ITS 3AM FROM A GODDAMN CHURCH BELL.
The executive rooms are spacious and well equipped. The location is right in the middle of the city center so its very convenient for walking around and finding resteraunts etc. Staff are friendly throughout the hotel. Good bar and decent resteraunt in the hotel itself.
