The trains kept working on the tracks at night and kept us awake all time. It's not well isolated

The reception was supposed to be open when I arrived for the check-in but it was closed already. The system to do the "self check-in" on a computer is time consuming and not user-friendly at all. There was also a strange guy inside the building lying on the floor next to the door where I had to input my password to enter the corridor to my room. That was a bit scary. The guy seemed to be under drugs or something similar. He could have had a knife or something else. Really not nice when you are with your kids, with luggage and trying to open a door... I will certainly not go back just for that reason: not safe environment.

This was a recovery accomodation, due to overbooking error by booking.com on another hotel. Unfortunately, beneath I booked for 2 rooms, 2 guests, 2 nights booking.com placed just 1 room, 2 nights... This was the second mistake in a row for booking.com VERY BAD SERVICE FROM BOOKING.COM. Totally unacceptable...

Hotel was fine. Room is clean and breakfast is pretty perfect.

Nothing really

This is a very nice (travel) hotel if you want to stay in or around Koln. There is a big parking garage at the first floor where you can park for free. Entrance to the garage is not so easy to find but we parked first in the neighboorhod and reparked our car after the explanation. The personnel was very friendly and helpful. We had the family room (1 double bed and 1 nice bunk bed). The room was fit-for-purpose for the one night stay (maybe not if you stay much longer to visit Koln). It was located next to the breakfast restaurant so we were a bit afraid of the noise in the morning but this was not needed as the room was very well isolated and we didn't hear anything. The breakfast buffet was not super spectacular but again fit-for-purpose with good coffee and nice breads. There are quite some restaurants in the neighborhood for dinner. We stayed here on our way to the East but I believe it would also be a good hotel if you want to visit Koln as it's next to the train station with easy connection to the center.

We decided to leave by 11:30 am and so we came out from room. But then realized we forgot something in room but we couldn't open as Room got locked before 12 pm Checkout Time. Which is strange. It took some time and which caused delay to our next journey. But finally after 30 mins, we got cleaning staff and then we were able to take our things from room.

We stayed 6 nights. Garbage was taken every day but the room was not cleaned. The room was carpeted. But they didn't vacuum the room any time

Would have been more comfortable in room if the chairs had a back instead of having to sit on a stool and use the wall as a back on which to lean.

Value for money not there. We had breakfast one time, room temperature hard rolls and cold cuts with coffee for approximately $10/person was a little bit steep. We found we could just go down to the BackWerk and the two of us could have breakfast for roughly $10 total, and have a much better selection from which to choose.
