The bed was ok but could feel partner moving. Bed comfort is a very personal thing though so it might be perfect for others.

The owner's a nice guy, friendly and helpful. Onsite parking was excellent. Very convenient hotel with everything we needed.

One of the light buttons was broken (as in cracked and not attached properly, in stark contrast with the rest of the room being perfectly in order) and for some reason cleaning removed some of the bed covers the last night, which we noticed too late.

Large and clean room, fast and friendly service. Also the location is excellent, walking distance from the very nice Lichtentaler Allee. The breakfast was not overly large, but provided everything required for a good and tasty breakfast. (The heated sandwiches were a very nice touch too)

The location is really good - within walking distance of the old town. The hotel restaurant seems to be very good (I had just breakfast which was fair at the price charged and really good)

Although large the bathroom was not equipped for comfortable use (Sink with no towel hangers, Stepping into the high bath difficult) no coat hanger in the room so wet coats were spread on the couch.

Just on my 1st night there was a bad smell all the night in my room. Not sure what was that, is it from old furnature or from outside or where from... and I tried to open the balcony but it stayed all night, next day though the smell was gone, and I had no problem at all, everything was nice.

Style of the room is very nice. Its very big and the balcony super nice. The whole building felt very nice, the stairs and the floor felt like a palace. The staff super freindly, helpful, nice and very humble. The location is great, 15 min walking from the town centre and a bus stop just beside the hotel that you can use to go to the central station. Certainly will stay in the hotel again.

It's the same comment I made last year - maintenance is required for the rooms. We pointed out a couple of water leaks in the bathroom and as last year the wiring makes us a little nervous. There was one socket in the bedroom with an extension lead plugged in. Also please put a mirror in the bedroom - preferably near a working socket.

This is our second visit to this hotel. We love the location and the parking, it makes life so much easier knowing we can park safely. It's a beautiful old house in a road of equally beautiful property. It's a short walk through the park to the town. The staff are always so polite and we appreciate having a kettle in the room. We had the same room as last year and everything was exactly the same. The heating is good and everything was very clean.

Our room was above the restaurant and the night manager sounded like she had guests for dinner and needed to be asked to keep it down at midnight. Because it was hot we wanted windows open as no ac but couldn’t because of the noise. Restaurant food was good but I am sure the beer was watered down with lemonade!! We were offered a refund on our breakfast but I can’t be sure if we actually got it as bit didn’t look any different. Probably wouldn’t stay here again

Breakfast was not included in the price. There is no air-conditioning, so if it is seriously hot, you will sleep hot. In other reviews one finds guests complaining of noise/noisy rooms. Well, we were lucky because there little noise in the evening and the hotel was not fully booked. Perhaps there would be noise if one stayed 'next to', for instance, a family with unruly kids. Mind you, in my experience, that would still cause noise in expensive hotels! At any rate, the rooms are not particularly well sound proofed (though not cardboard thin walls either). Some rooms are situated overlooking the terrace area, this could be a problem if you wished to turn in early and needed the window open. The curtains are not effective to keep (sun-)light out, but they do offer privacy. A little fridge/mini-bar is nice but makes a bit of noise (easily switched off though)

Two of us stayed for two nights. Breakfast (was not included but fair price) was of international content (eg. scrambled, poached and hard-boiled egg, bacon, fresh rolls and croissants, toast, meats, cheese, juice, German-style cereal but also cornflakes). If you travel around this kind of breakfast would match your expectations (more or less). The hotel is at floor 2 and 3 (no elevator) on top of a Greek restaurant, which we used for the one dinner. (we liked what we got and it matched my expectations of a Greek place) From the hotel it was a ten minute walk to the Kur-Park. The city center is also at walking distance. Some reviews claim the beds hard, I found them firm and I slept well. I agree with reviews marking the owner and staff as nice and supportive. The room offered what I expected to get (TV, wifi, en-suite with complete set of towels and slippers). Visual inspection shows good cleanliness. A more rustic style of furnishings also means things are not perfectly sized, lending a certain quaintness to the place (also meaning: not everyone looks for quaint. OK for me)

It was an easy walk in to town for two in their late 60’s. The staff were helpful and pleasant and spoke good English which was a bonus as our German is non existent. We were travelling through to Italy so just needed a comfortable bed and a good breakfast. We got both at a very reasonable price.
