Very friendly and helpful staff. Spacious, clean room. Very good location for touring Lorrach, visiting Basel a quarter of an hour away by car, or going to Mulhouse in half an hour.

The carpark area didn't feel too safe, but turned out ok after 1 night.

Once in the hotel, it was a different world compared to the area outside the front door. Very basic but clean and modern. We only used it as a stopover going south, so it was ideal. The Swiss border (abandoned post, it looks like) is just a 5 min walk. I recommend the chicken place next door for a simple dinner.

Entire hotel needs a more critical look at small businesses ugly spots….marks n walls, holes not filled in bathroom tiles, shower door cleaning, bathroom exhaust fan filters dirty …

Based on the pictures one expected the reception to be staffed, but no, we found the front-door closed. It took a while before I noticed that I had received an email and a message via booking that contained a code to get the key from a key-safe. Maybe I have overlooked that detail… Where to park your car is also a bit vague, because the parking lot in front of the hotel is private. These things can happen and were solved on the spot. What did bother us was that flat roofed room was very warm. There is no airconditioning, but fortunately there was a (noisy) fan…

The room was modernised, had enough space and was clean. The bathroom and toilet were plain, but had everything one needs and was also clean. For breakfast the hotel offered fresh bread and various other nice things.

There's literally no noise isolation and the hotel staff is still speaking loudly in corridors even if they know it well. This needs to be fixed. Change doors and invest a bit.

Everything is clean and functional. Nothing extra nothing less. Rooms are big enough and if you want to do stuff in Basel there's tram n6 that's very nearby. I was late for the breakfast so don't know anything about it...

The bed sheets were not clean at all. The towels weren't changed every day. Sometimes face towels forgotten. Cups not clean. Pillows really need to be replaced.

We really enjoyed the shower, very good value for the price. Kind staff. Nice room and excellent location between 3 borders for travelling

The room was connected through a locked door to another room which is fine. However, my neighbour was watching TV and trough the door a lot of noise was transmitted into my room

Reliable internet, free parking in the backyard. I arrived late and the reception was closed but keys were provided by a machine at the entrance. There is a chicken. takeaway nearby and a restaurant across the street. good value for money considering the exorbitant hotel prices the Swiss site is offering

We did not like, that there were no staff to receive us (manned reception) - although the coded keybox worked well. We could not use the wi-fi because the wi-fi code was not in the room - nor given given to us. And nobody in the reception to ask. There was no Tea/Coffee maker as advertised on the Booking.com site!

We liked the very clean, well maintained, and spacious rooms. And the breakfast and its selection was good. The breakfast was served in a nice breakfast restaurant and (luckily) not in your own room as written on the Booking.com hotel site!

After arrival My first thoughts were about the serie “Hotel Cecil!” (From outside nothing nice). I didn't care after I saw everything was ok inside! Thanx!

Enter before you judge!;) The hotel is inside ok, nice! Clean, with balcony, clean shower (liked the soap, wanted to take one!;)) and bed qas clean, high, ok. Parking is for free inside the area, which was perfect for me. I could even leave my bike there outside. Breakfast was ok. Fresh breads, no complains. Very good position, I biked to Basel in 30 mins;) Receptionist gave me free train ticket to go to Basel, you can also go by tram (€4). Very interesting/strategical place, shop also 5 mins by bike. You literally live at the border with Switz (walked my dog there, tram stop to Basel or to the museum). Also Weil am Rhein is very nice place to visit.

The facility looks a bit improvised, especially in the public spaces (e.g. art works on the floor, stairwell not inviting at all). Also finding information about additional services and the surrounding was difficult. Bringing a top client with me was not the easiest task, as I had to market the hotel on my own: before, during and after the stay.

I very much liked the location, the room design and the friendliness of the staff. I extended my stay 3 times and finally stayed 6 nights in total.

The hotel is undergoing renovation at the moment, so there are some works ongoing (but that is likely to finish soon)

The room is newly refurbished, all very clean, beds are really comfortable. Free parking with enough space and just couple of minutes drive to Basel. Great location for a weekend in Basel on budget.
