General cleanliness could be better, it was quite dusty in places, the shower head and cooking facilities are a touch dated and could be updated too. The pictures advertised are deceptive, I was under the impression I booked a big bedroom as I booked a studio for three, but it was much smaller than advertised. The mattress was a touch soft too, but this maybe due to personal preference.

The location, range of facilities, quiet location (provided there isn't building work), feels secure and considering its price it's good value for money. The host is friendly and informative too.

Didn’t get the apartment we actually booked (and it was a very different quality apartment compared to the booked one). Super hot at night + there was light coming in through the kitchen window all night. Pillows very soft, 0 support for the neck. Communication on this platform not great.

I didn't get the room I booked. I was told the lift wasn't working. It was a smaller. apartment with no sofa which was the main reason for the booking. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows too big and too soft for my liking.

I didn't like the shower, as the water pressure & temperature were not great. Also, cleanliness could be improved. But all in all, these are minor points and didn't bother me too much.

The location of the apartment was excellent- easy to get to from the airport and overall a very central area, with a supermarket and various eating options around. The apartment itself was great too, it had everything I needed.

The lift doesn’t exactly stop in front of the apartment. We had to take one half floor down and one half floor up. It is not a big deal with small luggages but we had 2 big suitcases. Although the apartment was clean, the pans / casseroles weren’t.

The apartment was confortable and well equiped. It was near public transport. We really enjoyed our stay there.

The lift was super small, and two flights of stairs not mentioned that made luggage not fun. There was a construction site outside the window that started at 7am. The bed frame was too high and uncomfortable on the legs.

The location was central, great area! Plenty of places to eat and super close to big shopping areas. Transport very close by. Main city drag a short walk away. Nice bedding, clean and neat. The owner was friendly. Easy access when arriving very straight forward.

As someone who needs to keep the window open to feel comfortable, especially with the weather at the time, I was absolutely eaten alive by mosquitos at night.

But the staff had a transgressive behaviour with certain comments that made us slightly uncomfortable throughout our stay when we would stumble upon him; comments that we didn’t find appropriate - but we didn’t feel like we were in the position to comment on his behavior. Also, the elevator was a little scary.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this apartment. We were provided with a decent amount of towels, dish cloths, soap, paper towel, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, trash bags and more. It was a small, but nice kitchen with precisely enough kitchen utensils. A cosy small balcony with a lovely view over the busy streets. And of course the apartment is located near public transportation, which makes it easy to explore the city. It felt like we actually lived in Berlin!

Light in the entrance room and the electric kettle weren't working properly.

The room was very comfortable. It has great curtains which really isolate light well. Kitchen equipment was perfect – there were all kinds of pots and pans, a microvawe oven, a toaster etc. Facilities are quite old, but most of them work well, so it's not a problem.

There was an induction stove but none of the kitchenware wasn't compatible, so we couldn't use the stove! Pretty inconvenient... Furthermore, on our last night we tried to use the microwave and a fuse was blown so we were 10hrs without any electricity in the room....this happened at 21.00 and we got an answer on our consecutive messages and calls not until 6.00am the next morning. Although, there was an apology, I find it totally unprofessional this lack of communication, and especially on a matter of importance such as having electricity in the room in the heart of Berlin in 2023. A matter that under other circumstances, it could lead even to mortuary results, considering that the problem was resolved very easily, after having a message and two photos sent to my phone...

The location was great, close by to a lot of restaurants! Very nice neighborhood. When we arrived, we were greeted and escorted to the apartment, easily and conveniently. We were offered plenty of towels and bed sheets, more than enough to cover our 5night stay.

The Kittchen and the bathroom are very old. In general, the apartment was not very clean. strangely, I was given a different apartment from the one I had booked on booking.com. I was not informed beforehand; they told me on the day of arrival. The reason given was that I was traveling with my dog (a small poodle), for which I had paid an extra 100 €. I would have preferred to know before my trip that I wouldn't receive the booked apartment.

Room was a little shabby - sheets that were clearly quite old, plaster coming off walls, kitchen floor needed a re-do, etc. Nothing that felt dirty as such, just not super well-kept. Missing some essentials like hand soap, which was a bit of a pain. But it was fine, really!

Look. It's not luxury accommodation - but it also really didn't feel touristy, which was a big plus. Super well-located for transport - subway, bus options really nearby, and in a good area that felt really safe.

I was not allocated the flat I had booked at 18 Olivaerplatz, but another in the same building, different entrance round the corner. Reaching the apartment was more difficult than the one I had at 18 Olivaerplatz some weeks ago: there were steps to climb and descend. I have trouble with my feet and legs, and booked the apartment naively on the basis that it would be as advertised, and as booked. I found later that when I called the lift to go down it arrived but the door wouldn't open. Fortunately it was functional going up. Othe problems involved trying to contact and communicate with the person who was to let me in at an agreed time - worse than the previous experience a few weeks back. No doubt he was busy, though civility costs nothing.

Pleasant flat on 2nd floor, big windows, kitchenette and bathroom, a sofa which made it comfortable. In my terms an excellent location, and the price in terms of the quality was good at present-day standards.

I had to warn them 1h in advance of my arrival which can make it a bit tricky but if you have internet then it's all easy. The other thing is that I saw a couple of silverfish insects on the floor in the bathroom and kitchen at night. They seem to only come out from 11pm onwards and will have disappeared by the morning. From the Googling I did, it seems like they might indicate high levels of humidity? So maybe something to look into, as the windows were open already when I arrived and stayed open the whole time I was there.

Check in time was flexible, and the person welcoming me was super friendly. The apartment was spacious and very comfortable, there was tea/coffee in the cupboard and everything you need in the kitchen. Had to bring my own shampoo / soap but other than that great!

The bathroom and washroom lacked essential features. There was a lot of water leakage from bathroom to the washroom. You have to dry the washroom after each time of using the bathroom. Also there was no shampoos in the bathroom. The wash basin in the washroom was almost blocked and you should have waited for water to drain. Also there was no trash bin in the washroom.

The apartments shown on the Booking app are obviously the "best" ones available. While there was nothing wrong with our apartment, it didn't look like any of the ones in the photos- more simple, especially the kitchen. We know that recycling and compost are expected in Germany so it would have been nice to either know where the building recycling centre was (we eventually found it) or to have recycling provided in the apartment. All the major items in the apartment were clean, but the bottom of the bed near the floor, the carpet and the plant could use a more thorough cleaning.

Danielle communicated very clearly with us and as a result, we were able to find and gain access to the apartment easily. The apartment was simple but suited our needs. It was conveniently located and in a safe neighbourhood.
