Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

GermanyIt feels like we're back to corona times, didn't see a single person, self check in. Like other guests have said, there are no utilities in the room. There is a kettle to make hot water in the lobby though.

GermanyReception is only available during checkout, not after about 3pm. The WiFi also didn't reach our room, which was fine overnight but would have been annoying for a longer stay. The large bed was two separate (hard) mattresses with a hard dip in the middle.
Basic room that seemed pretty clean. We had an upstairs corner room and it was relatively quiet. Close to the bus stop.

SwedenIt´s a bit difficult to communicate with the staff since they don´t speak much English but we luckily solved all the questions even if my German skills are equally poor. The language barrier is not a deal breaker, I can think of staying here again.
Friendly staff, charming atmosphere (a bit outdated though but you get what you pay for), comfy bed and clean room, good breakfast.

United StatesThe main door closes between 11:30 am and 3 pm, which is not convenient for people coming in. but they give the guests the key to the backyard door.
The staff was nice, The hotel was very close to the university (5min) The room is so big The room was well-cleaned including the bathroom/restroom.

GermanyI arrived at 5pm. Collected key from a key box. Till morning, I just felt I lived in a haunted building. No one is there and no lights in the lobby area and surrounding. Felt like grave yard. Also no cutlery is available. I faced difficulties taking my dinner which I ordered online.
For one night stay over, I found pretty good. Good value of money.

RussiaThe bed was smaller than I expect. The room is enough for a night, but for a long stay will be cramped.
A cozy and nice hotel, located in a quiet area, within walking distance of the center. Near the aquapark, walking route to the sea. Very clean, tasty breakfast. The lady at the front desk was very nice, friendly and welcoming, as if we were very welcome here. Cozy pleasant courtyard outside the hotel.
