Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNot really close to the airport. Travel time and traffic are significant during peak periods. Also, it is 50 Euros for each way by hotel's shuttle or local taxi to/from Munich airport. The hotel is going through some renovation with hallway traffic and frequent concrete drilling noise during December 2023.
Friendly, multilingual host. Providing chocolate Christmas ornaments was a nice touch. Rebooking additional days using lower rate shows good customer care.

CanadaThe parking underground has narrow spaces. The rooms need upgrading, but are still comfortable. I woul stay there again.
The location is excellent, in a small quit town. Prices were a little high, but it was the tourist season.

GermanyOld, outdated rooms, no AC, bathrooms very small and difficult to use (shower basin). No sound isolation as the building was apparently meant to be offices before it was converted to a hotel. Night receptionist unwelcoming and aggressive. Had a very unpleasant conversation. Such people should not work in hospitality.
Great location outside Erding, close to SBahn and a few shops around, rooms are spacious, staff generally friendly, especially the nice and super-welcoming day-time receptionist!! Underground garage etc. available. OK value for money as we came during Oktoberfest and anticipated prices in Munich being a bit elevated at that time. Good and well-stocked bar.

New ZealandFridge in room did not work and there was no other room available and nobody to try and rectify the situation. Luckily we were only there one night. Layout was a bit weird. Had to walk a long way to get to the room.

GermanyDon’t have air conditioner. It should be written somewhere in the description of the hotel. I woke up in the middle of night, sweating because it was hot in the room. Even with the windows open.
Location is perfect. 10 minutes waking from Thermal Erding. Also, easy to arrive with a Bus from S-Bahn station or by walking. The breakfast is very good, lot of options and they have live-making omelettes. Staff is very friendly. The room was clean.

AustriaI don’t understand why is there a parking fee if we are a hotel guest. And i hope they would add more charging outlet for EV, they only have one steckdose and we were lucky enough that nobody is using it when we stayed there. And hopefully they will upgrade their charging station to a wallbox instead.
It’s very close to Therme Erding, it’s only 12 minutes walk. we got to charge out EV for free of charge

AustriaBreakfast was quite good, but definitely wasn’t worth its price. Furthermore, the staff weren’t particularly friendly and couldn’t communicate clearly whether the breakfast was included into the room price or not (as we found out at the checkout, it wasn’t).
The room was comfortable and very clean. The location is great if you’re visiting Therme Erding.

United StatesJust was expecting a bit more but being so far out I guess it wasn't bad for what we needed.
It was 30 minutes from the airport. The restaurant was not open so not much choice. The room was very small and strange shape. It was just a place to stay. We left for the airport early and the security guy was very nice young man. He made me some coffee and offered to find us something to eat. Very nice man.

United StatesThere is extremely little public transportation from the hotel to Munich downtown and to the Munich airport. Our reason for choosing this hotel was because it is close to the airport. But going to the airport from this hotel is more expensive (E45 euros) than staying in Munich downtown and going to the airport using public transportation. The nearest public transportation station (Alter Erding) is 1.1 kilometers away from the hotel, so it´s too far by walking. Also, the restaurant at the hotel is open only 4 hours per day, from 18:00 to 22:00 hrs., and there are no other restaurants near the hotel, except a McDonald´s restaurant. So, there is no food, or very little food available while staying in this hotel.
The hotel is nice. Best Western hotels are usually good. The bathroom is good.

United KingdomWe booked a 39m2 Family room and were put in a 28m2 twin room. We were travelling with 2 adults, 1 child and 2 dogs plus luggage and it wasn't possible to stay in such a small room. The manager refused to put us in the room we paid for and refused to refund our money because we had stepped foot in the room. He was extremely rude, unreasonable and dishonest. Photos are attached of the room the manager claims was a family room.
