How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very minor gripes: the bed and pillows were quite uncomfortable to us and the shower was a bit tricky to keep from moving around due to the holder it was in.
Kind staff, wonderful facilities (including pool/gym), comfortable and clean room, bathtub and shower with nice hot water and good water pressure. Express checkout was convenient and we appreciated the until 12:00 checkout time.

Our shower was very good when it worked. It wouldn’t always change from the water flow to the bath over to the shower. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn’t. I had to go down to the Swimming pool for a shower on our final morning. At breakfast I felt the choice of eggs was disappointing. Boiled eggs or very solid scrambled eggs. The other breakfast choices were very good.
The location near the river was very nice. We enjoyed a walk along the river when we arrived. And we loved having a drink on the 17th floor with amazing views of the river. However there weren’t many restaurants to go to around the hotel. We normally like to go out from the hotel in the evening. Our room was very nice.

There is no free parking and they charge 20 euro per day. Also there is no coffee and tea machine for geusts in Lobby. Its blankets are very small for two persons.
It was clean and the location was good. And also river view is great.

Breakfast is quite costly, sometimes, you can see specks on the rugs

I didn't like that the hotel provided only 1 bottle of water.
I liked the staff's hospitality, allowing early check-in as the booked room was ready. I also liked the location and the breakfast.

The bar on the ground floor was so crowded and only one guy to serve everyone. Took us 45min to get a drink and we changed our mind for having dinner. The restaurant on top floor was fully booked. So around 10pm, was almost nothing/nowhere to eat.
Very nice Spa center. Not crowded. Bedroom was spacious, comfortable bed/pillows.

It would need some changes to match the price. The carpet and curtains were a bit old and stained, the tea kettle area had loads of dust on it.
The staff was friendly. Location was slightly outside the centre but still good. The room was comfortable and quite clean, and the bar on the 17th floor was a nice addition.

I did not try the breakfast or pool so cannot comment on them. I was happy with my stay, but a bit more light for evening work in the room would be helpful.
Perfect location for a meeting at the World Conference Centre Bonn as it is just next door. Easy to get to the hotel on public transport from Bonn or Cologne (stop at Bonn Gronau UN Campus train station) and a lovely walk along the river into Bonn city centre. The rooftop bar has amazing views and good service. The room service was very efficient too (much quicker than in the restaurant on the ground floor.)

Room needed just a little spruce up. Curtain rail had dropped slightly so Curtains needed just a little TLC.

Breakfast space rather small for the number of guests.
