Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe booked two double rooms and they only had one room available. Somehow another single room was found, it was at the top of the stairs and very hot. They did give us a cheaper rate so worked out ok at the end, but the single bed was very small and one of us ended up sleeping on the floor. Probably that room was not meant to be rented out we were lucky to have it. Wonder how often this happens....
The breakfast was fine and location was very near the centre. We also liked their secured room for our bikes.

Cheap and cheerful. Good location. Not very modern but quaint old style hotel. If you don't have super high expectations then you will be pleasantly surprised by this hotel. No A/C but 2 fans and a secure garage for bike storage. I would stay here again.

NetherlandsWifi was just like a mediocre girlfriend, sometimes really nice, sometimes you wanna throw it out a window. Hotel was clean but a bit outdated. General color was support stocking brown.
Nice hotel, kind owner, we had a balcony which was nice. Breakfast was good. We we're intrigued by the large number of paintings and stained glass dedicated to the Nibelungslied. The hunchback knight in the hallway was also a nice detail.

SloveniaWe were there on Friday night and our room was facing the street so it was pretty loud if our windows were opened (if we closed them it was too hot).

GermanyThere was no elevator. it was uncomfortable for me because I had a big suitcase. but there were no other things that bothered me.
The location of the hotel was good. Not very far from the Church. There are many supermarkets around the hotel and it was convenient. I do like the equipment in the hotel: coffee maker, many teas and coffee, refrigerator, etc. It was a nice experience there.

United KingdomNothing, it was all perfect!
I stayed at Hotel Boos for a short getaway from my busy city (London, United Kingdom). The breakfast was truly phenomenal and extremely affordable! Worms is a really beautiful town and Hotel Boos reflected it’s rich history and culture. I felt at home at Hotel Boos and felt comfortable to use all facilities as they were super clean. It smelt wonderful when I first entered the building and was greeted with lovely staff. Maya was particularly caring and accommodating. Easy access to all nearby shops and town centre. Definitely recommend!

United KingdomThe twin beds were very uncomfortable. Polyester sheets were awful to sleep on too. Access to our room was through the laundry room. A security light outside our bedroom window went on and off continuously throughout the night which disturbed our sleep. Check out was 11am but shortly after 9.30am we were hassled by staff to vacate our room.on 3 occasions! We will not be returning to this hotel.

United Kingdomif you have a front room it is right on a noisy road and traffic runs through the night so it is impossible to sleep especially on a hot night when you have to have the window open. it may be that the back rooms are quieter but the front gave us the worst hotel night we have ever had. also the reception girl was unhelpful and unprofessional. she said the safe in our room had a digital code which it didn’t - it needed a key - and she said there weren’t any keys. I asked the manager next morning and he said there was a key which she should have given us. she also twice said that the gate to the private car park was locked at night, which it wasn’t. she was not at all friendly and made no attempt to speak anything but German. A very disappointing hotel.

GermanyWe requested a quite room, however the first night there was a guest in the room next to us that may have only been accessible through an outdoor passage. They smoked, turned on lights and did other things until almost 2:00 AM. Other guest aren't the hotels responsibility, but I almost felt he had a hotel connection.

GermanyThe coffee machine didn’t work. The bed was old and very noisy. There’s no soundproofed walls, you can hear everything. The staff unlocked the door and came in, despite that we put a sign to not disturb. The staff was arguing and screaming all day. The furniture is broken, outdated and ugly. The room smelled bad. There was a balcony in front of the window and people were passing by looking inside our hotel room.
The location is ok. Easy check in/check out.

United StatesTo get to some of the city attractions that are not in the city center, such as the Rhein River or the zoo, you will need to be prepared to walk or take a cab. The furnishings in the hotel are a little dated.
The hotel is a .5 KM walk from the train station. The breakfast was good. The hotel is close to the historic city center. The hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating.
