We had a wonderful stay at Haus Stehlings. The apartment is very large and well equipped. It has spectacular views on the small town and river. The owner of the apartment was very helpful. Monschau is a special place for us. Can't wait to visit again.

Most comfortable beds in Germany so far! Very unique old house, looking directly onto the river. Beautiful views out of every window. We were there during the Christmas market and the entire town was magical. A short walk down a fairly steep cobblestone road and we were at the market. Excellent location. It even snowed, making the experience perfection!

Well located and we'll equipped stay. Old and charming house with surprisingly good noise isolation. Self check-in process is smooth and we'll explained. Host even called us to see if we had any troubles.

lovely well presented room, the location very idyllic, the town had a lovely sweet smell in the air from the local bakery, the river running around the property is beautiful. beds were comfy everything was fresh & tv also had English Netflix which was nice touch too. Prior to arrive owner sent simple instructions on location, parking and how to obtain the keys thanks had a lovely stay

Very good value, great beds, quirky rooms, brilliant shower and an ideal location with an extremely helpful host. just a few minutes walk from the car park, we loved the sound of the stream with the window open and the bells chiming. The only negative was nothing to do with the property, but there are limited choices of food and you need to eat early, 90-95 % of restaurants were not open. Having re read the last sentence this would certainly not put us off staying here again, I would think the Xmas market period would be brilliant, and the Printen the host left for us was fantastic

What a wonderful spot, in the heart of Monschau with gorgeous views up the river. Up a few flights of steps you find a beautiful apartment in the local style, a little lopsided but that is part of the charm. Everything is in walking distance and you are right in the middle. Perfect location to take a hike. Monschau was a charming village and Johannes was kind and helpful, recommending local restaurants and explaining where to park. It was a great stay.

The location was absolutely stunning and the property was full of character. It had everything you needed and more.

The weather was exceptionally hot during our stay so it would probably be nice to have had an electric fan available.

Location, the view from all the rooms...spectacular!!! And of course, Johannes was awesome as host. He had provided very clear instructions and useful information and reco's on restaurants. Danke schön, Johannes! Will definitely come back:)

Although we did enjoy this, keep in mind that you can hear the river clatter below (with open windows) and that the church bells ring at 7am.

We stayed in a cozy room with the most beautiful view in the center of Monschau. Perfect location, with a parking garage nearby. All we needed - even more - was there: soft beds, wonderful rain shower, coffee and tea, small fridge, TV with Netflix, access to the small garden. Everything was comfortable and clean. The communication with the host was also very smooth (despite everything being done over the phone). He is friendly and involved, gave us tips for breakfast and called to check if everything went well. Absolutely great!

Not a drawback when anticipated on, but the house is not directly reachable by car (Monschau traffic restrictions): keep in mind when bringing your luggage.
