Claudia was efficient, friendly and super helpful. The hotel is a getaway location for some me time and reflection. The furnicular makes access to the city center easy.

NO ELEVATOR BUT IF ONE WAS PRESENT IT WOULD DETRACT FROM THE OVERALL ATTRACTION TO THIS PROPERTY. I SAY THIS ONLY BECAUSE WE ARE SENIORS AND GETTING THE SUITCASES UP THE STAIRS WAS DIFFICULT. THIS SITUATION DID NOT DETRACT FROM OUT ENTIRE ATTITUDE FOR THIS PROPERTY.

WE WERE GREETED BY THIS GENTLEMAN WHOSE FAMILY HAS OWNED PROPERTIES SUCH AS THIS FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS-LITERALLY. THIS GENTLEMAN WAS SO AFFABLE AND FRIENDLY WHEN HE GREETED US, I KNEW AT THAT TIME WE WOULD COMPLETELY ENJOY OUR STAY AND WE DID. WHAT A WONDERFULLY LOCATED PROPERTY, AS IT OVERLOOKS THIS VAST VALLEY. THE PROPERTY IS ACTUALLY LOCATED ON THE CITY WALL. STAY THERE AND YOU WILL SEE WHAT I MEAN.

This was the best hotel we stayed at during our entire trip! Hotel was in a great location, easy to walk everywhere. The room was excellent. Breakfast was very good and we LOVED the views. We also LOVED Otto at the front desk. He was very helpful and friendly.

The air conditioning unit was fairly noisy, but using fan provided with an open window was just fine.

Quiet, charming, lovely hotel in a historic area. The breakfast, which was included in the price of the hotel, was outstanding and served in a delightfully cheerful room. A nature area and garden walk was just around the corner, which was also wonderful.

There is nothing to dislike about this property. It is clear when booking that there is no lift available.

Spectacular building built into the town walls, sympathetically and beautifully converted into a hotel. Our host was there from 6 am - 20 pm daily checking on all guests that everything was to their liking. Great security too. Outstanding large rooms, comfortable bed, extremely good arm chairs (2), huge bathroom (2 hand basins!), outstanding breakfast overlooking the Tauber Valley, clean, comfortable and hospitable. Perfect.

Amazing! If I could change the rating to an 11 out of 10, I would! It was the best place I stayed on my trip- romantic, clean, wonderful breakfast, and the kindest man running the hotel. Overall, the hotel is fabulous and I’d love to stay there again- next time for much longer! :)

This is a boutique hotel and Herr Berger personally greets and farewells every guest. From the moment we set foot in the foyer, we were warmly welcomed. We stayed in Room 25 - a corner room with a couch, desk and big windows. Breakfast was simple but delicious. Eggs were cooked to order and the remainder of fare was buffet style. The coffee was also very good - strong but not bitter. We are from the heart of coffee culture in Australia, so this gets a big tick from us. Parking on a weeknight in early September was not difficult. The hotel does have garage parking for 10 euro a night, however we were able to park a few feet from the hotel for 4 euro. Parking is free between 18:00 and 9:00. The hotel is in a beautiful location - there is a very strong sense of place. If back this way, we would definitely stay at the Burg Hotel again.

there isn’t anything, I didn’t like about this property. But I would note, that there is no Lyft.

This family run business operates with professionalism, kindness, and a huge sense of pride. My husband and I got lost travelling,the day we were supposed to check in and we didn’t arrive to the hotel until 1130 pm, they left a note on the front door with instructions on how to get settled in which was a huge relief after a full day of travelling. The next morning, the owner came and greeted us during breakfast. He was a lovely gentleman. The hotel itself, exudes charm, and it is extremely clean.  Our room was spacious and had incredible views. I would highly recommend this hotel. If you are visiting Rothenberg, I promise you, you will not be disappointed.

Excellent quiet location overlooking the city wall into the beautiful valley, but only a few blocks walk from the center of town. Our room and bathroom were spacious and nicely decorated. The breakfast room was lovely, and the food was great. Appreciated the option for freshly cooked eggs!

Hands down our favourite stay on our 2 week trek across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We booked 3 rooms for our family of six (3 couples) and no one had any complaints. Rooms were exceptional, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delight and hit the spot. Getting to meet Otto (the owner’s father) was the icing on the cake. What a gracious host and hostess. I will make a special trip just to come back here and hang out with Otto.

Wow! Everything! The entrance to the hotel, the quiet location, the atmosphere, the views into the courtyard and over the wall into the countryside, the breakfast prepared to order, the staff, the parking right outside (for a small amount), the bathtub, the sitting area in our room, literally everything! 12 out of 10 stars!! Would go back to Rothenburg just to stay at this hotel!
