How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Unfortunately when we entered the room, it did not have a nice smell as if somebody just smoked in it. We had to keep the windows open for a while. On top at night we could hear a noise (probably a fan from aircon or else) which was disturbing our sleep.
Room was spacious and clean. The property is modern and very pleasant. Breakfast was an absolute highlight, very rich and good quality with the possibility of making your own juice, which was very appreciated.

I have no complaints about the hotel or staff. My only wish is that there were more hotels like this in the other places that I visit!
The Rene Bohn staff are absolutely phenomenal. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and are always going far beyond what is typically expected. The other standout attraction is the breakfast buffet. There is a great variety of food selections, and the kitchen staff always introduce a few new items each day so that you don't have to have the same breakfast every day.

We stayed in the same apartment during hot summer 2020 and in May 2022. Since there is no air conditioning in the apartment, it was getting bloody hot and was hard to sleep at night. But in spring it was a great experience as the weather was perfect. Also on the downside - in order to use kitchen stuff like pans, plates, etc. you have to pay 20 Euro's per day. In my opinion it's too much. However, stove, kettle and fridge are still available without extra payment.
The apartment is great for families with children. It's spacious, clean and comfortable.

Everything we experienced at the hotel was beyond expectations.
The breakfast was beyond exceptional. Amazing attention to detail by every member of the staff, from the receptionists to the cleaning crew to the chefs to the waiters. Simply phenomenal. So profession, courteous and we’re so willing to help and accommodate us in any way they could.

Excellent breakfast, with a possibility to have it also at 10. Room not particularly spacious but the available space is efficiently used. Outdoor parking available (included in the room price).

All was very good. I called when I arrived as I noticed one of the rubbish bins were not emptied. The manager sent immediately someone to correct the issue.
The breakfast was outstanding. On par with what you expect from a five star hotel. Great variety of fresh products, top quality selection of fruits. Really fantastic sausages, smoked fish, and top quality vegetables. Next time I travel south I will probably return.
