Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

GermanyWe were offered an online check in, we were used and checked in at the hotel with a QR code. That was easy and fast. I even asked a worker at the reception if we needed to pay, and he said we pay when we check out. However at the same evening I received I found a letter in my room which said there was a problem with our check in and the hotel policy and I should address it the next time I’m at the reception, which is did. The lady at the reception explained to me that the hotel policy requires paying at the check in and i should pay now. I paid of course, I mean it did matter to me if I pay now or at the check out, but it really left me questioned what is the point of the online check in. If the hotel policy really required me paying at the beginning how did I get the key for my room at the check-in-kiosk. Why it didn’t say there please pay to get the key. So I really hope it wasn’t because I have other nationality and they had a suspicion whether I’m gonna pay or not. The resting room in the sauna isn’t well isolated. One hears many noises from outside, people are loud (which is of course is not hotels fault). But I believe a light music in the rest room could change a lot to the positive.
The property has a really good location in an amazing district. The city center is very good approachable within only 30 mins (15 mins walk and 15 mins subway). The hotel has a very nice bar and a restaurant with a delicious food. The stuff at the bar and in the restaurant are very polite and most helpful. We were placed at the restaurant without a reservation and we enjoyed how funny and comfortable our waitress was. The hotel has also a spa zone with saunas which we used every evening. The room was big (we were 3) with very comfortable beds. It was really clean and stylish. We enjoyed staying in our room, even ordered room service (fee is 5€ which is okay). The bathroom is spacious and clean

United KingdomWhen I asked during the booking that we were assigned a quiet room, the only answer was that I could pay 15 euros per night for an upgrade. This is very poor customer service - just assign us a room away from the main road (which you did not do), which should not come at extra cost. Also, the prices overall were a bit too steep. Yes, this is a very good hotel and a very good breakfast but for the prices charged I would have expected both to be great/exceptional.
The room was very spacious, the bathroom was fairly large too and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was also of very good quality and had a good range of options. Good location, close to some grocery shopping (a Lidl is very close by) and with good connection to the airport (busses leave right outside the hotel).

NorwayWe had a comfort room, it turned out all of these were facing the noisy street outside. Could not keep window open due to noise. It was very hot, AC was only working on full power or not, so it was not a pleasant night. I ordered a single room for our son, but he was given a double room and I had to pay for a double room for him, as they told me it was the same price for both. Strange, and expensive enough for two rooms towards the street. Expencive restaurant.

GermanySurface areas are on the small side, the room, the bathroom, the gym, the sauna, the lobby. But it's obviously due to the relatively old architecture of the building, so cannot blame the hotel for that.
Competitive prices compared to other hotels in Hamburg (most things are expensive there), mainly because of the distance to the city center. Not a big problem if you drive a car, there is parking available at the site for a small fee. The service was good, the room was clean, the bathroom was small but nice. Everything as supposed to be. I found the little coffee machine in room quite useful too.

Bed was extremely comfortable with lovely fresh linen. I had requested a "romantic" arrival as we were traveling on our honeymoon, we arrived to a gorgeous note from the hotel staff and a bottle of bubbles in our room, complete with fake rose petals on our bed:) Quite romantic indeed! We used the sauna both days and loved it, was a very clean and sterile area, you just need to book your slot in advance! Bath robes and towels included!

Architecturally interesting building with good size room and all necessities like safe, coffee station and stocked mini bar. I wanted to be in that area for a particular reason, but it is far from downtown and even the bus 19 stop is a 10-minute walk away. Did not try the breakfast as for much less than Eur 20 you can get a good breakfast elsewhere.
