I have only the most pleasant impressions.

Magnificent modern hotel format at a super price. Excellent friendly and attentive staff, very high quality of cleaning (guests walk around the hotel barefoot - this says a lot) Delicious coffee in the lobby bar. The hotel is open 24/7. Located within walking distance of Central Station, Lidl and Kaufland supermarkets.

    I liked everything.

It all started with Henning at the reception and what a welcoming guy!!!. The rest (the room etc) was cool as he was. Saw a fantastic game of football on the big screen at the restaurant and there was help round the clock and din,t have to use it either. Great Place.

The shower facilities being on a separate floor was not great. I expected the showers to be on the same floor as the room.

The room was very tidy and cosy. The foyer area for meals and check-in was lovely.

The location, could be better. The surrounding area doesn’t feel too safe. And just have to ensure you are aware of the best routes and your surroundings. In the room the bottom shelf could have an enclosed space for shoes. Left them outside the room which seemed to be a trend.

The staff were awesome and very friendly. The check in is seamless, communal spaces are great too.

Probably the best option for solo travelers packing light
    • Business trip
    • Solo traveller
    • Single Cabin with Shared Bathroom
    • Stayed 6 nights

The single room is small and maneuvering with cabin luggage + backpack was challenging. The bed could have been designed to be higher up to fit some bags underneath it, currently only the shoes fit (barely). Be sure to bring flip-flops for the shared showers. While the hotel sells disposable spa loafers for a small fee, there are no water-proof options on-site.

Very well-located and inexpensive option for solo travelers. There is a vending machine with bathroom amenities at a fair price. The bed was comfortable and noise was never an issue (the room was right in front of the shared toilet for my floor). The key is an RFID-abled wristband which is used for cashless payment as well. I hope the cabin concept is popularized in Europe.

Overpriced hostel in an overrated city

Two dealbrakers. First, the location is the worst, could be close to the central train station but, the zone is awful, day and night is full of drug dealers, yonkies, homeless people and street hookers. Second, the price for that zone and for a hostel like that (I mean a really tiny room and shared bathroom) you better pay a hotel in a good spot.

Hostel is nice, cabin really tiny but comfy (unless you carry a big luggage), they give you towels, concept is cool.

Great cabin hotel but keep your wits about you outside
    • Leisure trip
    • Solo traveller
    • Double Cabin with Shared Bathroom
    • Stayed 3 nights

The area between the Hauptbahnof and the hotel is horrible - if you've been to Hamburg before you'll have an idea of what to expect, and it only affects a very small area, but it's worth keeping your wits about you on Hansa Platz and Steindamm. The cabins are not quite as soundproofed as I've experienced in cabin hotels elsewhere - you don't hear your neighbours but noise creeps in from outside, such as piped music and lift doors. The design of the cabins isn't as good as other cabin hotels with less shelving for storage space. The wristbands don't work very well with the lifts - you need to press against the pad for three seconds before it will work, which isn't explained very well. (There is a sign about this in German, but it's next to the alarm rather than the pad.)

If you've stayed in a cabin hotel before, you'll know roughly what to expect. Showers and toilets were clean, the upstairs lounge and terrace was really good and very welcome on a hot day! The bed was comfortable and staff friendly. It's very handy for the Alster and the bars of Lange Reihe. Wristband payment system works well.

Great stay! Friendly staff, comfortable, clean, and good value rooms :)

The location. Even though it's in central Hamburg, it's very close to central station and the streets between the hostel and the station are a little dodgy. You can see that alcohol and substance abuse, as well as some crime is common there. We didn't see anything terrible happening, but if I had been travelling by myself (female), I would not have chosen this area.

Very modern and well-maintained hostel. Super cool concept and great value for money. Rooms are tiny so don't come with a lot of luggage (although they have luggage storage) as it won't fit in the capsule room - I recommend only bringing a backpack or small cabin luggage with you to the room. That said, the beds are very comfortable, bedding is good quality, everything is clean and well ventilated, and also very quiet. Guests get towels and bathrobe, and there's shower gel and shampoo in the showers. Staff are friendly and the breakfast buffet is very good value for money too.

The neighbourhood was not the best. I did not feel safe getting to the property from the train station. But once I was inside the property, it was total safe. It felt like an oasis in a desert.

I enjoyed the place very much. It's super clean and very well designed. Noise level was very low. As comfortable if not more than a regular hotel. The bar at the reception was fantastic. Good pizza and good beer.

Little to no ventilation in the cabin, so it may not be suitable for the summer season.

The place is clean and well organized, most of the stuff are super nice, the rooms as expected are not big but they’re comfortable and you don’t get to hear a lot of noise, very good! Be aware of the location, getting there from CS feels so unsafe, specially for women

I would not recommend to spend much time in the surrounding area given the presence of bums and drug addicts

I found the bed really comfortable and I liked the fact the hostel is like also a nice place where you can spend the morning having breakfast or the evening for a drink.

Super clean and cosy with lots of privacy
    • Leisure trip

    • Stayed 1 night

Not many cosy lounge areas to chill out, although there is a decent rooftop space. The neighbourhood is rather shady and I do sometimes feel a little unsafe especially in the evenings, but if you're coming from Hamburg Hauptbahnhof, I suggest exiting at the north end of the station and going from there along Ernst-Merck-Str, Lange Reihe and then Danziger Str where it's a bit more calm.

Very comfy beds with lots of privacy. Bathrooms and especially the shower areas are super clean, plentiful and very well-designed so that there is also lots of privacy despite being shared. I had limited interactions with the staff as I could check-in using their touch screen pads at the lobby, but they were super friendly and helpful.
