Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaI stayed here previously too but I think this time they took me for granted and gave me bad room. First they assigned me a room which has shared kitchen. When I requested them to provide another roon, then they have given another room at 4th floor with individual kitchen but not upto the mark.

United KingdomThe internet was useless. Kept disconnecting. Was like in the 90s with connection. One minute there is internet next you are offline. There wasn't any lift. Carrying all the staff to the 4th floor up and down is not easy. The cleaning was kind of ok but some the surfaces were dusty. And there were some cutlery and plates a knife to be able to cut things would be useful.

GermanyI was met at the doorstep of the facility by beggars, people sleeping rough and an individual doing drugs (needle and all) in just 3 nights of my stay. All these individuals were very respectful and just chilled, however you get a sense of unsafety. The room was mostly silent, except for an intermittent ringing alarm that came from outside and would go off for like 1min at the most random hours of day and night. Check in, check out and breakfast are all done at a hotel across the street; it's a very short walk (less than 1min), but given the area it may not always feel like a safe walk.
After reading the reviews, I had armed myself with sleeping mask and earplugs, however I was luckily given a room overseeing an internal courtyard, which turned out to be very silent most of the time. Metro and central train station in immediate proximity. Area with restaurants (e.g. Turkish grills) open until very late. Breakfast is only 9€ and it's a very generous continental-style buffet.

BelgiumA lot of homeless people in this area, one was even resting on the stairs at the entrance of the building. Despite being an excellent place, it gives you a feeling of insecurity. Elevator did not work, which is annoying if you're on 5th floor.
The family room 5a is a spacious clean appartment with 3 double beds and two bathrooms. Very clean. Easily fit 6 people. Very nice view

PortugalWe wanted the kitchen, and it wasn't worth it because they blocked the plumbing with a piece of metal, which we tried to remove unsuccessfully so we could wash the dishes. We had to use the bathroom to clean everything. The tiles on the floor in the bathroom were broken, and the floor in the apartment was uneven.
Location was good and beds were confortable

NetherlandsThe equipment in the kitchen could have been a little more extensive. For instance, the gas burners didn't work and one electric burner didn't work either. Furthermore, there were barely any glasses, cups, etc. and no spatulas etc. It's not suitable to cook and barely even enough to cook breakfast.
Simple but nice apartment. Nice beds, big bathrooms and a spacious apartment overall. We were able to check in earlier than 15:00, which was nice.

LithuaniaThe neighbourhood - challenging. Drug addicts and prostitutes are common thing, not to mention local alcoholics. This explains massive car parking prices in nearby parking areas. The room pictures and actual rooms are two different things. The room was way smaller and different that you could expect, clean though.
It was way better than you could expect after reading google reviews. Nothing unpleasant at all. If it is for one night, not a bad option considering the prices in Hambourg.

Sweden5 steep stairs without an elevator. There is no hint of this on Acora's website on Booking.com and the receptionist at Hotel Graf Moltke - where we had to fetch the key - did not warn us of this. So when we entered the annex with the apartment we found an elevator shaft with doors, but no elevator inside. I thus had to go back to the reception. Acora promies a reception opened 24/7 with multilingual staff, but the receptionist spoke no English and only poor German (as did the other 3 staff of the reception I contacted at and after our stay). After some time we could make the receptionist understand our problem an he promised to send someone to help us carry the luggage up the stairs. However, we had to wait another 20 minutes untill the help arrived. He spoke neither English nor German, but luckily I though of checking again with the receptionist if we would also get help to carry the luggage downstairs the next morning. After another difficult cominication it turned out that such help was impossible. We thus had to in a hurry select all the things - medication and others - we needed during the night and repack in a big bag that I would be able to carry down myself. Only after that was it possible for us - with help to carry upstairs - to reach our rentred room. In all with more than an hours delay so we got there around 23 at night and had to get up extra extra early to again pack our suitcases left behind the reception of Hotel Graf Moltke. And we had an uncomfrotable stay in the room, as we had still forgotten some thiings we wanted, though not essential enough for me to get down to the reception again at midnight. In the hurried repacking in the morning of 17/4 I also forgot a fleece jacket. My own fault but I would not have lost it, if Acora had provided the necessary elevator. In all Acora's presentation on booking.com is a fraud. I thefeore want Acora to refund me 50 Euros, with a responsibility for Booking.com to help me to get the...
