How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room was really cold (no heating on and you can't put it on yourself) but we told about that in the morning and got it on so next night was ok.
Really nice new and quiet room, good breakfast, great location if you are on a cycling tour.

We were there at New Year´s Eve and couldn´t have dinner there because the restaurant was closed. We couldn´t even have a drink at the bar. It would have been nice if that were a possibility. Also, I would suggest putting a fauteuil in the room, in addition to the regular chair. A coffee or tea maker in the room would also have been nice, since the coffee machine in the lobby wasn´t working.
The hotel was modern, quiet and clean! We slept very well and the staff was very friendly.

the restaurants in the town are closed on the same day... so check out where to dine!
Breakfast is more as one can expect.....thus is a very remote part of the Eifel Region ...but this is a perfect place to warm up and take a rest from a long day walking or working in the forest on biodiversity!

Beautiful location, accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The Italian restaurant nearby was very good as was the bakery. Staff were very friendly. Will definitely return.

Most likely due to the renovations and the rooms being very new, there was no cutlery or crockery available in the family suites. We arrived on a Tuesday and were not aware that on this day no restaurants in this small town are open - only the minimarket close to hotel was open.
Breakfast was great! The hotel is newly renovated so everything was new, comfortable and luxury finishes. We had a studio apartment which as very spacious. Good parking facilities with a big grass area to walk your dog and relax.

It would be nice to be able to make tea or coffee in the room, especially as in the quiet time the bar and restraurant did not open.
Everything was brand new, and worked. The room was large and had plenty of storage space. We went in late May and it was very quiet all over the area. There is an elevator and access to everything in the hotel.

A bit impracticable, in terms of the kettle in the room, no kitchen sink for water and no cups, not sure what the kettle is there for. The hairdryer's cord is very short and stiff, and you need to keep the button in at all times for the hairdryer to work.
Comfortable beds, great location, friendly staff, good amount of parking, good breakfast, and spacious rooms.

Our room was currently overlooking a building site - they appear to be adding on but no construction noise or disturbance.
Immediately along the bicycle trail and very nice venue . Great secure bicycle storage . Reception was exceptionally friendly , helpful and accommodating. Convenient lift to room . Room and bathroom were both good sized and very clean . Probably the best lighting that we have encountered in a hotel room in a long time . On-site restaurant has great ambiance , great views from inside and on a nice patio and multiple food choices with a reasonable price point . Also close to several nice restaurants within a short walking distance . Breakfast was also copious and good .

Poor communication as no staff present on site at time of check in or the following day. a small notice was eventually stuck on reception door in German, we managed to translate to find out no staff due to illness and therefore no breakfast available, so had to go to local bakery! Told we would be reimbursed but no one to deal with it! Hot water via shower only none at sink. No fridge, kettle or tea and coffee facilities in room or reception area, restaurant and bar closed. Disappointing overall.
Clean, comfortable and quiet room, good lighting. Very spacious. Plenty of parking as empty...

All restaurants in town were closed on Monday and Tuesday, which wouldn't have been a problem if the hotel offered some basic equipment such as a water boiler, cutlery and plates. It would have been nice if this had been mentioned on the website or before booking. Central heating was turned off when we arrived. We were lucky that employees were present that evening to fix it. It could have been difficult to reach anybody on another day. Hand soap was empty on arrival. Two days after notifying the employees, we asked again, a woman came to refill the vessel but was angry at us for asking twice. A new set of shower gel samples we used as substitute hand soap was denied to us. Breakfast was good but since they didn't offer a buffet, it would have been nice to be asked for preferences before being served a standard plate and drinks.
Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. One of the employees was friendly. Supermarket near by.

Bed was quite stiff and pillows were lacking head support, which made proper sleep difficult. Not a lot of things in the room: no kettle, no full length mirror, no basic cutlery/plates, only one chair in a double room.
The room and the hotel building overall was quite modern, renovated/new and clean. Parking was plentiful. Location is close enough to many things in the region.
